"Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people, greatness is bing accepted by the people"......that's a powerful statement right there. Wise words Mike.
That’s also relevant in politics. All loved politicians in other countries rarely need protection where as all western politicians are guarded like crazy because they know they enslaved their people and therefore the people hate them
Arsenio Hall: (to Tyson and Ali) Who would win if you fought each other in your prime? Ali: I was fast, and hard to hit. But if he hit me one time... (mimicked getting Knocked Out) Tyson: By all means I am vain, I am great. But in this scenario, all heads must bow and all tongues must confess, this is the greatest of all time.
Big Virgil to be fair, he is the greatest defensive fighter of all time. But you have to look at other factors other than win/loss. Opponent quality is one of them. Floyd has not fought an elite fighter in their prime. He fought a young Canelo, an old Moseley, an Old Paquiao, etc. He never challenged himself against a Prime Elite fighter. Ali fought the best HWs in the most stacked HW division era ever.
Looks like money wasn't loyal to Mike though. Dude lost over 200 million to black jack, speculative investments, and reckless spending on cars, women, jewelry and planes. Had many houses but not a home.
@@anibalpuertorico6556 Oh yeah, 100%. Pac talked so much positive stuff about Mike, made songs for him, always gave him love and Mike somehow decided to do that for whatever reason... Beats me man.
Was scaring just watching on my computer...if i was the guy asking question and he gave me that death scare...i would abruptly end the interview and flee to the nearest police station asking to be locked up in solitary lol
Darien Bowen yep dont talk about ali, seen what happened to larry holmes, and let me tell u now, not many guys were talkin shit to mike but i will say this mitch green did and took mike the distance and had some good moments in the fight, fought him in the street and still says h can woop mike. but we never hear about mitch green, mike didn knock mitch out. js
Honestly, even if you are not a fan of Ali because of how into trash talking he was, you have to respect him for the things he achieved and the stance he had against a war that was nothing but Americans getting bloodthirsty. He is respected not only for what he did in the ring but also outside. That's exactly what Mike is talking about as well.
Love and respect for what Ali for what was in the past.Ali when he goes in a fight,he was putting his last breath in that fight (search Ali-Frazier fight III) in 13 14 rounds,Ali said,he feel like passing away in any second, and he still wanna won that match, don t give up.At the end of that fight,he colapse on the floor, that's why Mike had that respect for Ali.Floyd yeah,he speak all kind of bullshit, you can t be Goat at 65 kg in box, maybe the best pound/pound,but not the goat.Is Mike in his prime pound 3 4 hits on floyd,he can really died of left in chair,so you can't say you are the greatest 🤣🪦🪦
@@Eire4irish I wouldn't say sadly. That fire destroys a man in the long run. He's over 50 years old, has 8 children. I'm glad he's found a way to keep his inner beast contained.
Jesus now it's time to do my breakdown of how OVERRATED Mike Tyson is, hmmm where should I start at first: Tyson-got his fame for KO'ing a string of Bums or OLD Heavyweights way past their prime: He beat a washed up Larry Holmes, Berbick, Bonecrusher Smith, Tony Tucker and Pinklon Thomas, every last one of them was old and at the very end of their careers. His best wins vs younger guys were mediocre competition like Briggs, Tillis, Bruno, Botha, Norris, Frazier, Williams and Ruddock and none of them really did all that much in boxing. His overall best win was against a BLown Up Lightheavyweight in Michael Spinks who came from 175lbs His worst losses came against his Best Competition like Holyfield (Twice) he had to bite his ear and disgrace himself in one of those fights He lost to Lennox Lewis who just dominated him easily He lost to McBride and WIlliams (two BUMS) who KO'd him easily. He flat out DUCKED George Foreman who was on the warpath beating or hanging with some of the very best at that time and far more improved than when he was the young Foreman who lost to Ali. And who can ever forget how Buster Douglas (not even a big puncher) was able to take Mike to school, humiliate him and then viciously swell him up and then Knock him the F*ck Out!! And let's not forget that he flat out DUCKED Riddick Bowe claiming that he wouldn't fight him because they were both from the same hometown, like we really care about them being from the same place. So spare me the BULL about how Great Tyson was, he was so overrated.
Funny thing about Tyson with what he said is it wasn’t planned, came straight from the heart and you could tell he felt what he said. Too real! Love Tyson!!
@@NiggasDrinkin40s if you have a brain and know anything about psychopathy, you'll know that Tyson is not a psychopath. Idiots keep running around with that word without knowing its meaning.
Ali and Tyson asked who would win in a fight between them at their prime : ALI = Tyson would win TYSON = No no, Ali would win obviously At a different time in different place Mayweather = I can defeat Ali, I am greatest LOL ..... you kindin dude 😂😂😂
@slip satch dude when the actual guy basically says without actually saying "he'd beat my ass I'd break my arm purposely to avoid fighting him" Ali was sweating bullets just being asked that question he has eyes to have seen Tyson in his prime and knows damn well how capable he himself was in his prime I'm 99.99% sure Tyson would destroy Ali
I could always tell Tyson was a man of God because he studies his history. I believe he didn't have the correct guidance early on and only felt acceptance when he was knocking someone out. The killshot ended his career. Still 10 rounds with Holyfield was impressive. I think Mike is a Christian now. He's studied Jesus and I am thankful there is a son of God that is ready to defeat the evilness of this world. #Legend
@@bu11dogmike69 No, he is a muslim. And that has nothing to do with anything anyway. Religion is as much a drug to relieve himself as the other stuff he takes because of how traumatized he used to be. Jesus does not exist as a magical being. He is not coming back to "defeat the evilness of the world" or anything for that matter. I am fine with anyone believing anything they want. But once you start shoving it down people's throat, you are asking for a disrespect on your religion. So here, fuck your religion.
From Tyson perspective, its a great disrespect to the sport of boxing, for Floyd to call himself "The BEST Ever." Mike watched countless hours of boxing, watched the biggest names in the game accomplishing great things in this sport. He witnessed great achievements in boxing. Something Floyd knows little about. Tyson knows boxing history while Floyd only knows HIS story. Big difference
100% correct. For those sitting on Floyd’s 50-0 record let’s think about Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis. Rocky best Joe and retired undefeated, does that make him greater than Joe overall? I think not
And Julio Cesar Chavez went 89-0 before losing to Frankie Randall...89 wins is better than 50 wins so what's your point? If Julio chose to retire at 89-0, would that have made him the greatest? I think not. You have to look at the competition, the manner in which the boxer was winning, etc. There's alot of variables to consider than just a record.
@Andrae X He would just smile and be nice. A scared little man that must have bodyguards to take his kids to school as Mike said about him. That's no peoples champion.
Bruza16 he’s basically the Daniel Cormier of boxing, very similar height and weight, and there are many bigger fish than Cormier in mma heavyweight division. Tyson wasn’t that big for a “heavyweight”. Hell, brock lesner cuts weight from around 300 to 265 to make weight for heavyweight in ufc.
I think what Floyd & many others fail to understand is, Ali’s greatness isn’t just because of his performance in the ring, it’s because of all that he stood for in life. Who walks away from being a champion just to make a statement about the racial injustice & stand up for his rights/beliefs? That’s what makes Ali a great man. As far as his accomplishments in the ring, generations can use it as lessons in life, for never giving up & overcoming adversities..... That’s what makes Ali a great Champion.
Edgar Soto you're actually contradicting yourself.. tell me the difference between what ali does and what mayweather does.. mayweather moves back to create distance.. so what if ali's fights ended in a knockout, you're talking about running.. ali was a heavy weight.. heavy weight fights usually end up in ko-s.. unlike the smaller guys in which its harder for them to have knockouts especially when genetically floyd's entire family have not been known for their power.. think.. ali moves back to create distance, floyd does the same.. no difference! lets review floyd vs pacquaio.. its a fight where floyd tries to keep pac in a long range distance and land jabs and right hands while pacquaio tries to fight mayweather in mid range distance because he has to overcome the reach of floyd.. so pac moves in fast.. floyd moves back fast and keeps him at the end of the jab and cross.. same for what ali did to his opponents .. except NO ONE in the heavy weight division had the footspeed of pacquaio..
you pretty much said it all mayflower is a weaker fighter compared to Ali...Ali was a real fighter (brawler)and doesn't deserve to compared to sum1 that's obviously had judges in his pocket or a play it safe pussy like mayweakass
Edgar Soto you're listening and ignoring to words that dont fit your prerogative.. floyd is a small guy.. obviously he wont be as powerful as ali.. is pacquaio supposed to be more powerful than mike tyson? come on. they all little dudes fighting bigger guys.. and ali wasn't a brawler.. he was an outboxer just like floyd.. and prove it that floyd had the judges in his pocket.. you already admitted ali dances.. same like floyd.. they both stay on the outside and box people.. you said when ali keeps distance, its called keeping distance and you claim that when floyd keeps distance its running.. so you contradicted yourself.. dont be an idiot..
Don't ever think about talking about Ali infront of Tyson! May Alahh have mercy on your soul Ali you are the greatest, Tyson is the scariest man ever lived and the kindest
“He can’t take his kids to school by himself, and he’s talking about he’s great?” If you’re going to measure a man by any thing, his loyalty to his children is a good place to start. Im okay with that
thats sum real shit mike just said. mike name will ring threw out history. floyds maybe for a few years. But there is a big difference in someone fighting for money and someone fighting because they love to fight and getting paid for it. you can tell mike has some issues but that man speaks alot of truth. mike is alot smarter then people think he is.
Tyson earned his legacy. He battled demons outside and inside the ring since childhood. He's in a good place now. How many of us can say the same, given the same draw of life we're born into?
He’s a scared little man, Tyson referencing to Mayweather’s claim of being da GOAT and Tyson positions was that Ali was greater, both, in and out of the ring.
Tyson had his ups and downs in life, but I admire him most for being soo true to his good friend Ali...Rest in peace Ali, may Allah continue to bless his family and true loyal friends like Mike Tyson.
The subtle ferocity when Mike defends Ali's legacy is spine tingling... You just know he'd be willing to fight to the death for it, even after Ali's passing...
To be honest he isn’t. His heros are actually jack Dempsey and Roberto Duran. He was a fan and friend of Ali but as he said “I’m absolutely crazy about jack Dempsey”
He is a very small sacred man. 😂😂😂 Tyson a real GOAT. In his prime the world stopped to watch him fight and see a war, not a dancing hugging so called scientific boxing.
Tyson's respect for Ali is tremendous. He Revere's him like a father that gave so much to everybody and his profession. Tyson has always been this way, even back in his prime when he was on a talk show with Ali himself. He said to the host "I know that I am a great fighter, but this man right here next to me (Ali) is the greatest of all time and better than I will ever be". Moral of the story: Don't ever, ever disrespect Ali in any way in the presence of Mike Tyson.
