And he's not only walking towards you, d6ippy, but he's also continually applying bone-crunching blows to your body left and right, combined with wicked uppercuts, left hooks and right crosses, while still avoiding all your own shots. Now THAT is really scary. MsG
5:37 That is the single most brutal uppercut I've ever seen, except in some over the top games. Mike Tyson rightfully earned fame for being exceptionally powerful, brutal and overwhelmingly aggressive.
+mutha phocker power .... I doubt Tyson could have competed in strength events like bench press competitions even in his his prime. He does not have the size but his technique is a joy to watch. He punches as he is moving forward and with such accuracy too. I boxed for a year and i know how difficult it is to land power hook punches accurately while closing in.. his hook to body , hook to head , upper cut combo is crisp quick and so powerful. Imo he would have destroyed Ali.
+teetoo labalaba he means that his muscles are able to create the force of a heavyweight boxer due to their size, wich means he is pretty strong too,no one said anything about competing in strength evens, lmao.
For what Tyson was, for what he became, for the long path it took. Thank you Mike. You made us proud to be humans, with all our deficiencies; you made us be excited of being humans. And may nobody say he's not an example for us: when is time to fight, you taught us ferocity, when is time to realize, you taught us humbleness, deepness and wisdom. You were frank, before as now. Thank you again, Mike
@@vlLEGTxSQUADX More weight means less speed. Yes i know this isn't always the case but it goes both ways. Less weight does not always mean more speed. There is no constant variable to things like this.
After every fight i watch , boxing or mma, i need to come back here to remember how the perfect fighter looks like . Mike Tyson you will forever be the greatest fighter of all times
@the guy no. In any boxing match Tyson would kill all of them in less than thirty seconds. Likely in most kickboxing matches too if he knew what a legkick was. Hell Francois Botha won a GP. In MMA of course all those guys would win. I doubt any would do that well in a stand-up fight with how well young Tyson moved.
The raw power behind every single one of those punches is nothing short of biblical. The flow, the speed, the absolute strength behind every strike combined that bold look on his face of pure confidence in every one of his actions makes him the greatest of all time.
I've seen all these fight before, but this video shows him like never before. Mike's destructive power was awesome to watch. Ali is my hero, an absolutely incredible Boxer but nobody after Mike has been this exciting to watch. I think he was actually trying to kill some of those guys. His movements were awesome.
I shook this mans hand when I was 12 at the Tennessee Walking Horse Lanes. Just my friend and I, walking up to him, far away from anybody else at the top of the bleachers. He had a firm shake, an honest shake, and probably realized I didn't realize who he was. Damn Mike. You a beast bro. :)
I watched the whole video imagining Tyson beating the crap out of the shitty background music, it's producers, writer, band, artist, fans & their moms.
He and Ali were geniuses in completely different ways. The best two heavyweights, boxers in fact, of all time. Ali's footwork and speed was something to behold and helped him overcome people with more power than him. He thrived when people were the aggressor to him. Tyson was always the aggressor, but in an astute way, his pressure and power along with hand speed and a very overlooked defence completely negated any tactics his opponent had. Both are incredible to watch and I wish they were both in the heavyweight division of today so that the younger generation like myself could witness them in the peak of all their powers rather than watching clips and fights back. Long live the GOATS.
***** Tyson wasn't a one punch K .O fighter, he usually knocked opponents out with combinations, where as Foreman & Shavers had the one punch knockout power in them
The crazy thing about it is Mike Tyson never really actually reached his prime, he was so young and reckless, if he could've really set his mind to boxing only and not be an idiot as the champ, he would indefinitely have been the greatest boxer of all time.
He is the greatest boxer of all time, I do respect every boxer, but every boxer that i respect, will agree with me. Tyson in something else, the Tyson.
You gotta be on crack, just cause Tyson is your favorite doesn't mean he's also the greatest. Tyson is not even top 10. How can be Tyson the greatest boxer of all-time if he even have never beat a great boxer??? Name one well-known boxer that was actually skillful and great that Tyson beat? When the time came for Tyson to show his actual skills, he loses. He lost to a 30 year old Douglas, a nobody for God's sake around the time when everyone thought he's unstoppable and unbeatable. Greatest boxer of all-time goes to Ali, Mayweather
One of my favorite things about Tyson is he never let his fame change his boxing style. You see a lot of newcomers trying to be flashy and cocky in the ring, but they don’t have the actual skill to back up the dance moves or facade. Tyson didn’t need to be fancy - he was just deadly
Man knew the value of a shovel hook, that's for sure. Get a southpaw shovel under their ribs and tag their liver, fight's over. Any man alive will drop like a sack of potatoes if you land that shot right.
Tyson was relentless, brutal, angry and skilled=awesome. After watching a more docile version of Mike on Joe Rogan's channel, I needed a reminder of what he is trying not to be.
19 fights - 19 KOs - 12 within the first 3 rounds. 20 years old...let's face it. All those different opponents, sizes, styles; Mike was a true Phenom. Almost a Savant of Boxing. Comments like "front runner/fought glass jaws/no technique/too small" make me lol. Take a look at his defense in the first half of his career also. No heavyweights have such sound fundamental defense mixed with that offense. He truly was the best of all-time. Yes - after Cus died and Don King took over, he changed. What fool would believe that going from a humble and quite personal life fueled by motivation for a better life and a disciplined home life to a flashy, showy, lustful party, fast living personal life filled with the distractions of drugs women money wouldn't affect someones training, mental game, or physical condition? Look at the Lennox Lewis fight - Mike never moves his head, never throws the uppercut, no angles, and no confidence. Mike has such an amazing story from coming up in the rough streets to cus d'amato adopting him to Don King, prison, to broke again. I have alot of respect for this man - not for what he did in the ring, but because he is still alive and still caring. There truly is no sound argument for debating that mike was the greatest of all time. Put him against anyone 3 times each in their primes and he wins 2/3.
Totally agree with you Chris, this song sux big time. If this is your idea of a “cultural phenomenon” Apex Jesus I just feel bad for you. The crowd noise would be WAY better than listening to that no talent ass clown try and sing.
Jesus christ, the look on that guys face at 5:16 when tyson damn near took his head off.. He looks flat out scared and confused. I kind of feel bad for Tyson's opponents... unreal.
Are u kidding me Mike Tyson is not Even better then joe Frazier or George Forman and Ali beat both of them Ali was a special heavy weight the first heavy how look like middleweight boxer with his speed and combo punching Tyson is not in Ali league u people make me laugh trying to say a short midget could test the greastest off all time
You can't train to be able to punch that hard and fast. To an extent, you can but you're ceiling is only so high. It's genetics. Tyson was ridiculous. His power punches are so violent!
Tyson was 200 pounds when he was 12 years old and the first time he attempted to bench press at that age he did 225 pounds...I mean he worked hard dont get me wrong but his genetics definitely didn't hurt him.
signs lmao, that last one was bs, he had 30 mins and like .3 pounds to go, but yes he does miss weight quite frequently, ur comment was pretty good though
No he wouldn't why because joe Frazier which mike could knock out because they both fought the same but mike was more crisp and precise could handle Muhammad Ali
phantomelmisj the only way mike could beat ali in his prime is if he got a lucky hit which is hard in ali seeing hes so fast and strong thats deadly he hits like a ferrari while mike hits like a truck
+Young Major That’s where he made the mistake, he didn’t perfectly time combinations of 1-4 quick punches in spots where the opponent left himself vulnerable and open. He wildly swung a a barrage of punches while Mike was completely on guard and of the defensive. Swinging until his stamina was so low he couldn’t endure much damage and that one perfectly timed punch added with the power of Mike Tyson dropped then straight to the canvas.
tyson wa phenomenon, very fast, very powerful, very skillful, very exciting . the master of defence in heaveywhight history, the best puncher and contrpuncher. nobody like him. i saw videos of other great boxer but the best videos belong to iron Mike. i don't know why there are lot of haters belonging to historians, and others who try to undrrate him but thanks god what we watch now is prof of his greatness
Yeah cyrcer, with all respect i love Ali, watched all hes fight. He was great and was in superforme like 11 years, mike was only 3-4 yars. But he dominated hv like nobody before and after. we cant compare marciano ali tyson klitscho... all are fight in other age... but mike when he was 19-23 years was most efective boxer ever.
+Cryer24597 I'm gonna disagree strongly with you there Cus D'Amato trained Floyd Patterson who was in al is Era and the fact the Floyd Patterson was a force of nature shows that the fact that Tyson is stronger faster and more elusive than Patterson was shows he could have dominated in a Era of Ali inside aggressive fighters in ali's Era weren't like Tyson they weren't elusive not as fast they could hit but they sure as hell weren't as accurate the closest to him was Joe Frazier Ali in his Prime Vs Tyson in his prime is when you put down the facts the fight could go to either way but it kinda leans to Tyson because the fact is Ali never fought anyone as explosive as Tyson with his skill set Ali would have some trouble but I'm sure he could handle it but if you as me if I feel like Tyson could KO ali in his prime I would say no
+PINGPONGROCKSBRAH If you get hit by a car then there's a chance you might die but if you get hit by Mike Tyson in his prime without gloves it's death for sure.
He might not be the best fighter ever(all styles), but for me he is the definition of a fighter. He is obviously very talented, but for me he stands out from everyone cause of the hate, the anger. the ferocity of his strikes are really unmatched. His attitude also, like he is about to murder whoever steps in the ring, no matter his size, reputation whatever. He doesnt give a fuck. True beast.
When you have heavyweight boxers scared to get in the ring with Tyson, you have yourself a true champion fighter there. The GOAT. Pure destruction, like a ravage bulldog destroying Giants. Amazing fighter!
One of the things that impresses me most about Iron Mike, is that although he’s an orthodox fighter, it’s usually his rising left hook that seems to do the most damage
Nowadays, boxing became so static, especially if you think of the Klitschkos... They are big, but they would have no chance against the youngest heavy weight champion of the world.
I agree... there is a difference of about 150 blows per second between a Klitschko fight and this and this is waaaay more fun to watch. Although in defence of the Klitschkos... they are doing the best they can with their bodies. Given their height and build they could never be as dynamic and agile as Tyson is in this video. They use their arm length really well, anything that comes into the perimeter is immediately sent back out. Tyson would definitely have a chance against the Klitschkos... that Uppercut would knock out about everyone... you don't see em like that anymore
Another guy that does not know a thing about boxing. Go watch some Tyson's full fights, and you'll see that there is the same amount, if not more, of clinching. Tyson was an " agressive" fighter, wasn't "static" as you say, only because he was small and had a poor reach, so he had to get close to throw punches. And actually, I do not see any fighter of any time that could beat the Klitschko's at their peak. Maybe Lennox and Ali ... That's all.
Tyson was truly the greatest heavyweight of all time. Watch his shifting angles as he moves into bigger taller fighters. His footwork is way underrated. His entire body was fast twitch muscle fiber. He was always a punch ahead of anyone he faced. His opponents were overwhelmed. The power in those punches would literally kill an ordinary man.
Theres nothing you can take away from mike he out a doubt trully was and always will be the best, just a true iconic legend!! Love him or hate him know body can ever take that away from him
I used to appreciate the knockout punch, then I started appreciating Tyson's defensive movement......now I'm just watching Berbick taking those shots and thinking what a tough bastard he is for staying in there as long as he did
Tyson used his biggest “weakness” as his biggest asset. Height/reach. He became a tank that would infiltrate the jabbing and use his shorter reach to batter them
Tyson in his prime had the most awesome techinque and skill I think ever. Unbelievable talent. Cus D Amato and Rooney turned him into a monster. If he hadn't ditched Rooney he might have remained unbeaten trougout his career and would have become the greatest boxer ever.
It's crazy when you meet Mike Tyson in real life and you realize why he was such a monster in the ring. He is build like a shit brick house and you can see why he generated so much power and speed. I must say though, I'm so glad that he's doing good in his later year of his life. I couldn't imagine the shit he had to go through. Much respect.
Is muhammed ali that avenged any lose. Tyson got toyed when he had to fight real opponents. He was a great fighter but got his cherry pick like always in boxing
Topherodesk Pac is a great fighter and has lightning quick hands but Tyson had almost that speed but with twice the power. Granted he is a heavyweight but Tyson is more exciting no doubt.
Do not come here and tell a expert what tyson was wasent did did not etc... You shouldnt be in here. Go and talk about a other fighter that you appreciate
Marcus Ahlm I'm just telling the truth. Tyson had great potential but he didn't live up to it. He never beat a great fighter within his era. He got destroyed at 23 years old in his prime by a bum in Toyko. Tyson was good but he didn't beat anybody of note except an ancient Larry Holmes that had come out of a 2.5 year hiatus and a blown up light heavyweight in Spinks. With Tyson's career displayed in a proper, objective context there is no logical way one should or could consider Tyson an all time great. Btw I am a fan of Tyson I enjoyed and his fights but I am not brainwashed by the hype like so many die hard Tyson fans seem to be. I don't even consider these people true boxing fans only Tyson fans. Btw calling Tyson the greatest puncher really just displays your callous ignorance for the history of the sport. Then again you are an expert, right?
John Smith Foreman and shavers were just sluggers,no to little skill ...Tyson had speed/technique/accuracy and power all in one to compare them and think they are on Tysons level of effective punching is non existant.Shavers trainer once said 15 year old Tyson hit harder than his 28 year old fighter.Foreman was nothing more than a heavy handed one punch clubber,in comparison to Tysons excellent combination punching,as anyone who knows about fighting the most dangerous punch is the one you don't see coming, that defines Tyson!
