@@horatioh2020 Cus saw Tyson had knockout power im both hands, saw how he was built, saw his love for Ali, but I think also saw his personality. A more cocky fighter wouldn't have been able to endure the type of brutal training regement Cus put him through. Tyson was humble, he had no father figure so Cus represented that and before boxing really no life goals so Cus gave him that: becoming the youngest heavyweight champion. When Cus died something in Tyson died and he got surrounded by toxic morons. Then Kevin Rooney got fired and he stopped evolving as a fighter. He still had an incredible foundation, but imagine if Cus got to be a bit older and Rooney kept training him without dumbass Don King around. Tyson could've been the greatest heavyweight ever but his success was not totally internal like with Ali. He needed that support system. Sure Ali had Angelo Dundee, crucial for his success. But Ali had his own vision, his own style, made his own choices in the ring, and would never give up unless his jaw broke or something else that made fighting impossible. Mike Tyson was like a fighting Mozart, built perfectly from a very young age. Even if you see him now in his 50s: lightning fast, massive weight behind every punch and technically perfect form. I still prefer Ali as an icon, as a philospher of boxing and endurance. But Tyson is just a different model of fighter, a machine, that's why he's Iron Mike.

Graham's not that stupid. Mike Tyson is one of those dudes that you have to know how to talk to. He's unpredictable and you don't know what he might say or do and I think a lot of interviewers have absolutely no idea how to talk to Tyson and it's always painful, uncomfortable and cringe-inducing to watch because they'll say the wrong things to him, disrespect him, judge him, talk to him like he's stupid and then of course, inevitably, the interview goes downhill from there. But guys like Graham,Joe Rogan,Jim Norton and Jimmy Kimmel understand the balance you have to strike when you're speaking to Tyson. Graham was choosing his words very carefully-which I think is a wise approach when you're interviewing ANYONE,really but especially when you're interviewing Mike Tyson.
