I follow the game grumps theory that little mac’s brain damage is causing him to hear things incorrectly. For, example, Doc during Great Tiger’s fight says “Okay! Listen, Mac. When he goes for the tiger rush, block the punches with your fists. Wait till he’s done and he’ll get dizzy then Knock him out.”. And what little Mac hears is “Peanuts are funny!”

Not really, since in the game itself it says Join the nintendo fanclub today. Probably a hint on subscribing to nintendo power on how to beat the opponent

It's an in-game joke. He used the cheat code to jump straight to the Tyson fight. That's why his record is 0-2 just like when you use the cheat in the game...just a brilliant parody!😂
