Mike Wheeler Band Live at Taste of Westmont, IL ~ 7/15/2012 www.mikewheelerband.com Mike Wheeler (G), Cleo Cole (D), Larry Williams (B) Awesome Bass Solo during the 10+ minute rendition...Enjoy, Fierce
Been watching the bass solo on it's own somewhere on YT daily for the last few weeks (amazing)....... The guitarist is actually a king in his own right! This is really cool.
What the hell is this??? That cat is playing left-handed on an upside down 5-string. He didn't even restring it....and still plays it better than most bass players I've seen. I give up.
He is playing a fully functional right handed bass with his left hand. even the strings are in the wrong spots for a lefty. crazy that he learned this way but its awesome how well he can play! respect
This video is one of the best bits of music I came across in last few years. Its so live, real. Super amazing atmosphere created by the raw energy and skill of the musicians. I have put watching this band live on my Bucket List. Next I am in USA, I will surely visit whichever city they are in, just to hear them live.
I'd rather die of Covid enjoying live music than to coop myself up in four walls and grow numb becoming some stale potato. How I miss LIVE MUSIC, the energy and freedom, the camaraderie of the crowd, the smell of good food cooking, wafting through the air, an ice cold beer or two and an inexpressible sense of pleasure listening to the talents of gifted gents like these cats here! C'MON!!
These guys are just loving making and performing music. That's what made me enjoy this so much. The smiles on their faces looking over at each other while they play are awesome.
Damn, I love how happy these guys look while playing, all of them are incredibly skilled, and are at the point they can just go for it while still looking and sounding amazing, would be great to see them live :).
What are those fools even doing? Like seriously? Can't you people just go on a world tour already???? Also, please stop by here, I wanna attend your LIVE show too.
These guys are a plethura of intense talent! Truly, how could 34 viewers make a thumbs down on these guys that play better than most of the US musician population? Unless they couldn't pass the audition...
As a Redditor, I must say that the bass solo that began at 4:20 made my face melt right off! I haven't heard musical skills this good since that time Lady Gaga went *Cheek to Cheek with Tony Bennett on her number one album*. Impressive tunes fellows but questionable classless fashion sense. Ciao.
THIS. SO MUCH THIS. Im glad I took the time to watch that because DAMN. I'm probably gonna buy a bass guitar because of this video. Then I'm gonna use it like once. he went hendrix on the bass, literally, its a right hand flipped over What an incredible group of musicians. Each brought an awesome flavor and charisma to the song. Wow, these guys are badass. Not only do they sound awesome, but you can also see that they are having a ton of fun. I'll have to make the couple hour drive to see them in Chicago soon.
