I painted cars x trucks x dozens x backhoes x motorcycles x Ochkosh mixers I thought I was a great painter. This is a great job. Very nice job. Cant wait to see it all red.
Great job on the paint Jim Looks great Jim it just takes time and a lot of work. Hope you are having a great weekend. Always be safe in your travels and Take Care
Looking sweet! The booth looks like it’s evacuating the overspray out pretty good man!It comes in handy when you’re painting the inside of an old pick up cab too.I’ve done a few of those in the garage just sitting in a cloud not fun
Glad to see you mentioned the product line you were using. I’ve used PPG products for years. There DBC is an excellent product line and the clear 4000 works well a little pricey but get what you pay for .
Nice work, Jim - reminds me of the quality job you did on the 924’s paint with the PPG. Smooth! I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with the 912’s “Glasurit German blah-blah-blah ’ paint… ;)
Why no Shelby drop? Great suspension improvement/correction that is easy. Only reason not to is if you are doing a day 1 restoration, but painting engine bay red shows you are not doing that. Looks like really good condition though! That will be a great ride.
Hello I have really enjoyed the videos. Something I do not understand is why with a skeleton crew there are so many projects in progress, at least 6-8 that I recall. I would think it would be more productive to concentrate on maybe two at a time. For instance if I were the fella with the square body C10 it would frustrate me to see these latest arrivals taking what appears to be priority.
actually, we have approximately 14 in progress now. think about when we have backorders or any other time delays, we simply move to another car. the cars you see sitting are waiting on parts, waiting for engines to be machined, waiting on chassis' to be built. to have guys standing around because we have put all of our eggs in one basket is inefficient. Keep in mind we have been in this building only a year, and very shortly will be finishing up 6-7 cars. Not many full restoration shops can claim that car count with this quality and a very small crew
