Tuyi I disagree on that Mikey isnt playing bad competition he is playing your normal public school competition. everybody get so hung up on going to prep schools when really it’s just a year-round AAU. I still admire the kids who want to go to traditional high schools nothing like trying to lead your hometown high school to a state championship.Also both styles can be beneficial RJ Hampton is on a team where he has to play a more traditional point guard role where LaMelo has more free reign on his team. RJ’s team is probably going to make the playoffs and LaMelo has great stats which is helping his draft stock but they probably won’t win many games .

His high school is in a weak league so the best competition they will face will be through tournaments and non-league games. The only way he faces better comp is if he transfers out. But, he seems to be pretty loyal to his head coach who used to be play with his father back in high school.
