What's that blowhard? Do have anything to say or just gonna fake laugh? You wanna run with the big dogs but you can't even piss in the tall grass. What's funny is you just saying "What?" What a clown@@chelious1973
I dont think anyone wants to see anyone get injured, outside of scumbags laughing and cheering. It would be understandable if it was someone like torres who was a piece of shit and purposely injuring other players.
This is one of those freak injuries where no one is at fault -- Sergachev didn't put himself in a bad position, Lafreniere didn't make a dangerous or reckless play, their legs just got tangled up and Sergachev ended up falling backwards on his leg. His ACL is 100% toast, there's no way it stayed intact through 180 degrees of external rotation AND 180 degrees of flexion on the knee. That's worst-case scenario. I feel for both of these guys -- both for how devastated Sergachev must be from such a career-altering injury, and how gutted Lafreniere must be from accidentally injuring someone so severely. Good sportsmanship from all parties involved.
@@Kgsoloman-ou6wm The lower - or distal - tibia would be the ankle basically. But based on where and how his leg twisted I bet it will end up being a knee injury.
@@Kgsoloman-ou6wm My dad broke his leg in the same way about 10 years ago, right above the base of the tibia. Didn't happen in a hockey game, but he fell the exact same way. First thing I thought of.
@@jimyeatsthe ankle is a joint, the tibilalis is the front of the shin bone. It looks like the lower third of his tibilais snapped. Pretty difficult to do that to your ankle due to how stiff skates are
Man he just got cleared to play and then getting injured in the same game. Imagine the mental and emotional hardship he was going through, he just wants to play hockey
When a professional hockey player cries on the ice, you'd better believe it's really fucking serious. I am certain that almost all NHL players have nagging to half-serious injuries that they play through during a full season. Let's hope that he recovers quickly, and that the fans can give him a thunderous welcome back to the ice!
@@johnjameson7056 bro he fractured his tibia, and fibula, not only is the pain really bad, he just got back from a different injury exempt this one is even worse that being season ending. So him crying is not embarrassing (even though that should be more than obvious), its a HUMAN EMOTION. I would cry to if that happen to me its devastating not only to your body but to the idea of you dont know how fast you are gonna recover or if you will be able to return. Stop thinking that if someone cries they are somehow a cry baby you dont have to be a straight faced cyborg at all times to be "tough" its not embarrassing its called being a human.
As a panthers fan Sergy has broken my heart many times but this is terrible. I really hope he can recover and get back to it like he was before. Get well soon buddy. ❤
Thank you, and well stated. Panther fan for life but I don't care what player, team or sport.....this type of injury is devastating. I pray Serg a complete recovery and he will soon play the game that he loves. Good sportsmanship & concern from the NY Ranger players also. Wishing Serg the best ❤
@ErikHyndmanto I never got to honor to play at that high of a level, I played for a community college, the hardest part of back to back injuries is definitely going to be the mental aspect, at least in my humble opinion
Feel so bad for Sergy, we need him and he wants to play so badly but can't catch a break. It's good to see the Rangers team on the ice showing respect very classy
Ranger fan here. Horrified to see this injury. Lightning aren't a dirty team, and you know what, even if they were, you STILL don't want to see this. Wishing him the best.
@@SAL-se4kiwhat’s the point of this comment? Sports teams surgeons are paid very well but that’s not even the point. So the only people you should ever feel bad for are life saving doctors? No one else ever deserves any sympathy because they aren’t doctors who save lives? You sound like a clown. Classless clown at that.
I’m a Bruins fan but I really respect Tampa. They always have a team that seems like a real family supporting each other in every case. Very nice sportsmanship that they all went on the ice
I remember being at a game in Ottawa years ago and a similar injury happened to Vinny Trocheck when he played for the Panthers… you could hear the scream he let out throughout the whole arena.
gives me vibes similar to that of when Ekblad messed up his knee on a fall when the arenas were only allowed half capacity because of covid. the screams then were haunting
mad respect to the skater who smacked the board with his stick when the crowd was trying to take a picture. 1:30 watch #64 Tampa. The crowd although I wouldn't think this is time to take a picture, respect to him too for putting his phone down, and then telling the guy next to him to do the same.
I can't imagine going through it AGAIN in such a short time. I had one knee surgery and that was brutal. Now he's got to do it alll over again. The surgery, the months of rehab. The unknown of when you can be back to 100%. UGHHH.
@@pierre-yvesdubreuil9315 It could be an ankle, but that is also how heel hooks happen in mma. My first thought was goodbye acl/mcl. Happened to my bro in jiujitsu, he said it was the worse pain he's been through so far in his life.
@@bochafish i'm no expert, but what i see is an ankle going backwards. Also, he seems in pain, but not world class pain. An other thing, i saw two injuries to the left ankle in decemberinflicted on him on blocked shots., the last one had him missed 17 games.
@@pierre-yvesdubreuil9315 It seems you are an expert. I was just trying to say when the ankle turns, sometimes the tibia/fibia tear away from the knee. ("Breaks" at the knee instead of the ankle.) I'm not sure if blocking a shot makes one more likely than the other. But I guess we'll see which it is. Poor guy.
@@bochafish after looking the replay again, i see the whole foot twist 180 degree backwards, but it's possible other parts are injured also. Pucks to the ankle made it weaker maybe...? We'll see like you said...
I'm a Rangers fan. I was choking back tears watching this. I tore every ligament in my knee years ago. It really sucks. I wish him a healthy recovery and resurgence.
@@CowboyPants-h5pCoaches tend to stay on the bench after injuries. Their main focus is to get rest of the players back on track and fiqure out how to spot for the injured player. Unusual to coach to go and talk to the injured player right away.
As a Rangers Fan watching this game live, I had nothing but kind words to say about Jon Cooper! I first thought he was gonna go to the Hospital with him, but I realized he wanted to greet his injured player on the way out! That shows he really cares about his players!
Feel so bad for the guy. Best wishes to him on his recovery!!! Secondary point - proud of my rangers and laffy for showing major class. Bigger than the game.
As a longtime die-hard Bolts fan, I feel for Sergy and really appreciate the Rangers' respect. The hit looked clean to me. Shoulder on shoulder, no one trying to create a bad situation. Just two guys going hard and clean for their respective teams and a really tough break.
@@tiktokcompilation2196He is only 25. Players have recovered from worse. Could be career ending but i bet he gets back to his old self. Could take a couple years though.
(Trashers logo reminded me) Mosr eerie silent sporting moment I've ever seen live was Pavelec collapsing without contact and being stretchered off. Scary stuff. My young ass thought dude was dead.
As a fan for another team, I still feel sorry for Serg. I wish him a speedy recovery . This is hard to watch him cry . 😢 All that work done , now again .
@@SilenTChrome80 So because he was drafted or played for a team that gets you butthurt... Fuck him & possibly a life altering injury? Grow the fuck up and get a life. You'd never have the balls to say that to his face you coward.
Doesn’t matter what team you’re supporting you just never want to see a sight like this it’s absolutely horrible to see how much pain these players are in from these types of injuries
I was rooting for my Rangers. Once I saw this accident, I knew immediately how serious it was once the Lightning players swarmed around Sergachev. When I first saw the replay, it was so hard to watch. I felt horrible for Sergachev. I know Alexis Lafrinere feels guilty, but it wasn't his fault. Nobody was at fault for this freak accident. I couldn't describe the amazing moment of class by both teams and the Ranger fans for showing him support! Also that was nice of Jon Cooper to meet him at the Zamboni Entrance. Goes to show he really has a good relationship with his players!

I was watching the game live cheering on my Rangers when I saw the play. As soon as I saw the Lightning players swarm in, I could tell immediately it was a serious injury. The whole Arena went silent. When I first saw the replay, I could tell Mikhail Sergachev was in a lot of pain by his expression. I know Alexis Lafrinere didn't mean to hurt him. Once Sergachev got carted off I knew the whole Rangers team was going to wish him luck in recovery! I hope he makes a full recovery and plays again someday! 🙏🙏🙏
devastating. you can tell how much he means to that team look at all the superstars holding their breath around him. one of my favorite players man get well soon. 😢
Something similar happened to me while playing like 25 years ago. I ended up needing surgery and still have the 8 inch plate and 7 screws in my ankle and leg.
I broke my ankle and tibia one year ago. In september, I think it was my 4th game back, I severely torn the other one..... I'm just starting to play again. And I'm not playing pro. Hold on brother.......
Truly awful, it’s one thing to see your teammate injured and able to muster the strength to skate back to the bench, but when you see your teammate down and not able to get off under his own power it’s just heartbreaking. Sergy has had a rough season so far, but I’m sure mentally this hurts more than the physical pain. Coming off injury and getting over the mental hurdle. Just to get hurt again. Just awful, hope he recovers quickly.
i cant help but be so heart broken for this dude. He just came back from an injury healthy ready to go and then another one.....seeing sergachev crying like that explains everything his seasons is done and I pray he can continue playing 100% healthy
I watched the game. This was tough to watch and very sad. I've never seen a coach leave the bench to go console the guy. Damn, man. Get Better and Best of Luck.
That was hard to watch, he knows he's done for the season, knows he has surgery and rehab in his future. As a bolts fan, the only comfort I have is that Lilleberg has played well and will likely finish the season with the bolts and show he deserves a spot on the roster full time next year.
We are really a big family when it comes to support our team, Tampa fans are loyal, supportive and it doesn’t matter if players go to other teams (like Maroon) we will always consider them part of the family. He is back playing and yesterday got an assist helping to defeat the panthers.
This is just horrible to see Sergachev has just had a horrible year as far as injuries this season and this just adds to the hell that he’s been through sure hope he has a speedy recovery
Poor dude. That’s brutal. Just came back from injury and now this. My guess is that this is a fractured fibula or a broken ankle and will be out until early April or for the rest of the season. We’ll see in a couple of days. I will make an edit. Edit: Fractured tibia and fibula. Had surgery and will be out for the rest of the season 😕👎🤞
I broke my shin pretty bad and was seriously traumatized by how my leg looked but the pain wasn’t as bad as you’d think. I managed too keep my cool. Now if my career was on the line and this happened I’d be heartbroken as anybody would
I hope he's not so hard on himself, things like this is just a crazy accident, can happen to anyone, standard reverse hit, their legs tangled up unfortunately.
These players hate each other come game time but in reality they are ALL on the same team for the love of Hockey. For him to tap Sergy as a gesture of compassion says alot to the respect to the player. Its still hard to be that guy that may be the person who checked a player into being out for the rest of the reg season.@@karlkarlsson9126

It's funny that the commentators were saying that maybe the Bolts need to make a trade with their D-man and that they need some cap space and this happens. BTW great name.
Awwwwww that hurts bad right there, As a Toronto Maple Leafs fan my heart goes out to the whole Tampa Bay Lightning team, I knew he was going to cry like that is brutal

Wow. I’m a die hard Lightning fan and I’ve been dreading watching this video for 48 hours now. I have to say that was an awesome reverse hit from Lafreniere. I weep for Sergachev. When I heard he got carted off in his first game back from lower body injury I was gutted, but to find out he fractured both tibby and fibby is just so sad for him.
I had a very similar thing happen to me playing pick up hockey a few years ago. I ended up with a broken ankle/leg. Got a plate and 8 screws going from mid-calf down to the ankle. Took about 6-8 weeks to heal. But I was back on the ice in 3 months. I hope he is able to recover as quickly as possible. Side note is I finally got driving gloves for Xmas that year but I ended up using them to prevent hand rashing when using the crutches lol
even as a fan of the bruins who never watches this team, that is just absolutely heart wrenching. nobody deserves a situation like this, it's just horrible.
My God!!! I can’t even imagine how insanely painful that would be…it was painful as hell to even watch!!! Gotta have sympathy for Sergachev if you have a heart!!!
Big respect, Rangers fans and players. I hope this boy recovers quickly. Feel so bad for Lafrenière too, that was a defensive hit. Such a tragic outcome.
