I'm so glad the Fogartys posted this video. The only version of this piece that was featured in First Position was the semi-final round when she fell. No traces of that sort of mistake in the finals!
My school used this in their Spring Dance Show, but unfortunately, it didn't say the name of the track in the showbill. It is however, by Giovanni Sollima and John Metcalfe.
Her back when she prepares to turn... It's over extended. Or is it the choreography. Doesn't seem to be. If it's not, it's a bad habit and I hope she's corrected it by now. This was from quite a while ago.
Does anyone has the music without noises ? I mean we can hear her pointe shoes on the floor and I don't know how to fix this problem. There are some audio versions on youtube (so without noises) BUT they don't sound the same, this version sounds with more nuances
I'm gonna repeat what most people here have been saying because apparently no one's answering (and I myself could not find it.. and I've been searching like MAD)... WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE SONG/COMPOSER?? =/
Amazing but this girl is scary skinny. Needs to gain 10 pounds , I hate how skinny ballerinas are conditioned to be , I was one for 15 years and always felt fat . I realize now how ridiculous it was that I felt fat at 115 pounds . But my ballet teacher would always pinch my stomach and say ballerinas don’t have rolls . I struggled with eating disorders for years cause of that
The dancing is absolutely amazing, tough it looks just scary becuase she's that skinny. This would be so much better if she did not look like a skeletton... :/
