dylan wood (the drummer) absolutely KILLED it in ATL, especially on childish war. it was my first time hearing that song and i was obsessed over how good the drum beat was
Oh ya Dylan did a amazing job at Toronto as well, despite people not liking they used a screen and not the hologram the band was still amazing during this
He’s got some good stuff on his RU-vid channel. Check it out! He’s like my little brother. Sent me some stuff during rehearsals, said it was a really tough set to learn. Super proud of him!

I just came from the Phoenix show even though I’m a California resident. So I was prepared to record this show to the best of my ability XD hope you enjoyed it as much as the real concert!!
You sat right behind me and my friend! I figured you were making a video, lmao sorry you got our commentary and whatnot, my friend is the one saying "Go girl give us nothing". Thank you for uploading this! :)

I’m so used to the OG songs and thrilled when I meet others who were into Vocaloid when it first began.

AYY. Miku Expo 2019 London on RU-vid was my inspiration to finally go to see a concert for myself. It was wild hearing Teo be the show opener. Now the tables have turned! 😈 (I hope you enjoy it)
Miku on a 2D screen ? Dont get me wrong, the set list is amazing and the band is absolutely killing it, but Miku has always been a 3D hologram in every single show ever for over a decade. No video does justice to seeing the hologram live. It's like she's actually there. Did they run out of budget for the projectors or something ?
I was there! It wasn’t as bad as people said it was but i did think the screen was not big enough. Also humans haven’t invented 3D holograms yet and they just use mirrors to reflect Miku off a screen. I have no idea why they didn’t use the holograms though.
They said the holograms setup was too expensive to maintain and hard to transport, also various theater sizes meant having to change the setup so the LED screen allows more concerts
@@Manda7848temp Some years back I was involved with the rigging of 3D hologram equipment for live DJ sets with multiple projectors, and I can tell you that is absolute BS. Ofc you have to calibrate and set it up for each venue, but that's also what you do for the speakers/sound system/lighting/pyro/vfx/smoke/laser projectors/monitoring/wireless etc. It's just part of the job. The holo mesh and lamps also last for thousands of hours of use. I believe some of the newer projectors that have come since then are semi auto-calibrating, so even less work. It's just lazy. Thanks for your input though !
I think Jaiden only attended Magical Mirai in Japan according to her videos. But that would have been awesome if she was here at the LA concert as well.
After seeing a few other vids from different states, i wanted to see if my home county could pull it off. And I'm honestly impressed. Other venues i saw had way too many lights shining towards the stage, which was really bad for the screen. The characters were constantly shrounded in a blinding light. Here, you can see them at all times in high quality. Not only that, but it's in the Pantages theater, which is very small and dark. This helps create a good surround sound and ensures everyone can see the characters well. The LG screens are terrible, but the LA staff did the best they could with what they were given. Kudos. And the band kicks serious ass. I'm not a Vocaloid fan, but it's been a trip seeing it evolve since its inception. It's neat seeing how the graphics change over time. It's sad to see these concerts go from amazing hologram projections to this. It's definitely not the worst, but it's certainly a downgrade. Maybe the pandemic led to less funding for these Vocaloid events. Either way, I'm proud of the LA staff for knowing how to create a good concert with these limitations. I wonder if they saw vids of other Miku Expos, took note of the lighting mistakes, and made sure to not repeat them. It was smart to put the bright lights behind the screen instead of shining on it. 👍 A+ work. I'm glad everyone had a good time. Looks like a sold out concert. :) Edit: holy hell, i adore Kaito's outfit at this concert! 😮 For some reason, other concerts have him in clunky, bland clothes. THIS is stunning. I want to wear all of ot so badly! Gender envy is killing me right now, lol.
I’m someone that attended this concert, it was honestly better in person, I had a lot of fun though I would’ve rated my experience a 10/10 had it been the usual transparent screen, I’d say the biggest mess was the merch line, VIP and GA were put into separate lines last minute while the staff had NO IDEA, this concert had the most lightsticks so far but still not enough for everyone (they had a total of 700, I STILL arrived too late to get one) since the shrine fits around 6000+ people Overall, I hope Crypton doesn’t have crunchyroll manage the concerts after this because they keep cutting corners
@@candy_ribbons I also attended. While I enjoyed the concert overall, I still felt regret about the screen as that was what I was expecting. The screen was better in person that it appears on video, but the lighting did make it stand out too much at times. Also super disappointed with the merch. I was on day 2 of the Phoenix concert and more than half the merch was sold out from the day before.
@@candy_ribbons thank you for telling me! it’s always been my dream to go, so I’m hoping when Miku comes back to North America, I’ll be able to see her.

But A Guy & His Friends Were Bummed That It Was Actually A Cool Souvenir & He Didn’t Realize It - So He Never Grabbed One, The Look On His Face Was Priceless When I Handed Them 4 For Their Group, They Were Sooo Happy, I’ll Never Forget That!
To be frank, this is the best venue I've seen so far. The LG screens seem to, unfortunately, be all these venues were supplied with. Maybe by Sega? Everything you see on stage is set up the same way in every state. The screens are definitely awful, but it's not up to the event coordinators to have them. The only control each venue seems to have is lighting direction. Unfortunately, too many states did a terrible job in that regard. This team knew that putting the bright lights behind the screen would enable the audience to see the characters in full detail at all times. It was so well put together.
The audience is standing and cheering. It's a nuisance to the people behind them. Even though they're paying the same admission fee. "Do something about it!!"
The fucking lcd screen is driving me insane I used to watch videos of past expos and magical mirais because the hologram illusion was so impressive, it felt like there actually were singers, and the vibe was immaculate AND NOW ITS JUST A FLAT ASS LCD AND SHOBSOUBPBDUPBUS EVERYONES CHEERING AT A SCREEN 😭 IT JUST AINT THE SAME I always hoped to see miku on the big stage, but now idk if i want to anymore 💔
@@CherryCherub97 where are you getting the costs from? I could only find the cost range of hosting a Miku concert. I can't find how much it costs to use a hologram versus an LED screen.
@@MidnightSonnet I don't know what it cost Crypton to use a glass screen vs an LED screen, but I checked Vocaloid Wiki for ticket prices to Magical Mirai and past Miku Expos, then compared them to the 60€ for this years concert in Europe. 60€ was the cheapest ticket I could find for the city I was considering. Meanwhile the cheapest ticket for Magical Mirai 2024 is 8500¥, which is about 52€. Standard entry for Miku Expo 2020 was 43.68€, but it depended on the city/venue. Miku Expo 2020 had a glass-screen, so clearly those concerts aren't more expensive, and I don't think MM2024 will have an LED since Miku with You in China didn't.

Late but because they're all owned by crypton and are popular just like her. It's fair about only liking miku but a lot of the songs are miku so it's fair to give other producers who use other voice banks the chance to shine
Many concerts have flashing lights and stobe lights that could be bad for people who are photosensitive. Miku concerts aren't really more flashy than other big pop/rock concerts.
They had the hologram glass screen in past concerts in America and Europe though. This tour had more venues though, so maybe they cut costs because of that. Miku hasn't been to my country yet. The closest ones would be in another European country, but I don't want to spend money on travel expenses if they're not even gonna have the hologram.
@@CherryCherub97 I understand that completely but you’d be missing out on so much more than just the hologram. Of course to each their own but for me, Miku Expo was the perfect place to meet other people who grew up loving something that’s very niche not only in America but Japan as well. Everyone is super nice and even brings their own art as stickers to hand out for free. It genuinely surprised me how generous everyone was. I would go again just to hang out with the crowd again and meet more people.
@@64maddness The thing is I'm European. We're usually not as outgoing as Americans, so I think I'd miss out on hanging out with fans whether I went or not 😅 But I get what you're saying, the band and the crowd are also reasons to go. I would have gone if it was in my country, but +80€ + travel expenses just isn't worth it for me. I'd rather save up money for a trip to Japan then. I also wasn't a fan of the song list in NA, and the European one is probably gonna be similar.
@@CherryCherub97 oh I’m probably the most introverted person in my family circle 🤣 The thought of going to anything other than a Vocaloid concert fills me with anxiety, but I was able to talk to who I was standing in line with. I was by myself too-I went alone since I don’t know anyone in my personal life who likes things I’m into. I’d say definitely give it some consideration because this is probably the best band members they’ve had in a while according to the comments I’ve read. The drummer is definitely amazing. I think Miku Expo is touring in Europe soon as well. I know they just announced for Australia and New Zealand. I just attended Magical Mirai in Japan last week and while it was exhilarating, I’d much rather attend an official concert that’s near where I live until I become more fluent in Japanese to come back again.

Estoy de acuerdo. Pero ya ves, empresas como Crunchyroll hacen cualquier cosa para abaratar costos y ves gente aplaudiendo como focas, por eso empresas como Crunchyroll hacen lo que hacen Lo siento pero no sé inglés
@@aquamarina773 they have a point. I’m a massive vocaloid fan and even tried to get tickets to one of these shows, but crunchyroll especially really cut corners this year… That’s not even a hologram :/ I’m sure it was a great experience, but it’s definitely a downgrade to save on costs from shows a few years ago, which deserves to be criticized
Hmm I wonder if there’s a difference between sitting at home watching a video or going to massive festival with real musicians, virtual performance, live songs you’d otherwise never see in person, and a massive crowd of hundreds of people. I wonder 🤔
