I actually found those arts with mediocre skills but very unique touch more attractive than highly skilled but nothing beyond that ones. That being said, still the best are those showing both skill and brilliant ideas.

You can improve though. That’s the difference between humans and AI, we can grow and change, even though AI looks new. It’s made with the same parts as all of the others. You however, have the power to change. No matter how different you are :)

@@Apostate_ofmind i use AI I really want to become better at drawing (I'm worse than an elementary schooler at that XD) The thing is It doesn't matter if I get 10, 100 or even 1000 results One hand-drawn image, with it's own style, it's humane, you know? Best thing I got was the AI imitating danganronpa's style somewhat

@@axl256gamesx7 Of course, AI is just a tool. It just grinds my gears when people, that dont even know how time consuming actually getting what you want out of this tool, go and say things like 'it takes no skill' or 'it steals from artists'. 1) it takes a lot of skill, and its not transferable between programs, just like you need to relearn again to use a paintbrush if you only know how to use pencils and 2) it doesnt actually steal more than a human does by taking inspiration for a style. We dont say that people steal from other people even if the style is obviously not theirs, even if they did actually save the image on their pc without the artists consent, or even if they trace a pose! But somehow that's all forgotten when it's AI doing it, even though it doesn't take anything from actual image but patterns of similairity (like humans do), and it uses publicly available images, just like when you google and go to deviantart for inspiration. I do digital and traditional art, and i still also use AI. It took me a *year* to get a single picture almost exactly how i wanted it, i could have drawn it by myself by that time, but that was not the point. The point was learning a skill, and have fun.

@@axl256gamesx7 Quality. It takes 2 seconds to draw a shit drawing too. It takes years to learn penmanship, composition, color theory, and make a good picture. Again, im a traditional artist too.Some things I could have done faster by hand, just like it would take me less to do it in digital than with watercolors and whatnot, or whip up some halfassed thing, or just google the image. But i wouldnt get the details i want, i wouldnt have fun, and it also gives me many more ideas than i come up with by myself.

Its a voice synthesizer. I.E. still needs more human input than Generative AI which is capable of running algorithms and doing all the work. Its not true "AI" more closer to a VI since it still has limitations and isn't truly autonomous, but its still a tool thats abused. Vocaloid is a fancier voice synthesizer for the most part so think of it like doing chipmunk voices on any basic recording software or filter, but its abled to synthesize the audio to sound like Miku, Kaito, Rin/Lin, Gumi, etc. Vocaloid6 which is the lastest version of the project does have AI programs, but im fairly sure most people don't use it due to the fact of using deceased singer's voices. Plus in the end its subjective. The problem isn't AI itself. Its the people who ego stroke and abuse the software to do all the work for them that are the issue, and alot of people who are more hostile with "what-a-boutism" aren't seeing the bigger picture. At least your question was more of the innocent curiosity unlike certain other people who'd rather die on a hill about their stance than to actually acknowledge any arguements against them by going for low blows or using what-a-boutism to.point at something the other person is using to deflect blame on them. In the end I feel like the scummy "AI bros" dhould be treated like the Crypto Bros, point and laugh at them as they go bankrupt or fail, but overall try not to acknowledge their existence because thats what they want is attention and acknowledgement.

Off the top of my head Vocaloid6 is the only version of the program that has full AI, but it still requires a human component unlike the arguement here with AI bros using it for ART where they only have to for example type in "Miku" and bam the AI does all the work for them without them once doing any of the work themselves by hand. Thats the argument not the what-a-boutism of usage. Theres obviously a difference between someone doing most of the work and only using the program a little for touch ups vs someone using the program to do all the work for them. But back onto Vocaloid, it is mostly human component of singing, speaking, etc, and synthesizing the voice to sound different. I.E. its a fancier version of text to speech. Someone with a deep voice could record lines or music and then change it using the program to synthesize the voice to sound like Miku for example. There is indeed a difference in the technology used. But again the arguement isn't about the tech but more people being ego stroking smart asses who are to lazy to put much effort in without the program. In the end its a tool, but obviously we all know tools like this can be abused, look at laws when it comes to plagiarism and sitting your sources if you used online or physical sources of information that already exist.

Ai has lost all meaning, since it's not even remotely close to artificial intelligence. But, using a vocal synth is not just a database to pick and choose.. From my little experience with music and audio, the tools within the software to create even a coherent lullaby is vast. With each component being purposeful in their application. The problem with deep learning algorithms is that they lack that purpose. There can be arguments made that ai is a tool. But the vast majority of its usage is that it's not purpuseful, but rather uses the vast network it has to make a guess to make something that user asked for, with the work others have made with no reimbursement. The only manipulation I've seen, is the way one types their words, and then it's just a repeating cycle of entering that prompt till they get something that they like. Ive seen uses for ai to speed up certain processes to give that same sense of using a tool, but those are so few and far between.

​@@ThatOneGuysAnimations I definitely see the problems, which sucks that they are abused so much by either lazy or scummy people when they could actually be useful for so much. I could see the benfit for saving time in a way? Having an AI help with making or cleaning up animation frames for example just to make a higher frame rate and smooth animation and then doing the rest or important bits by hand. But I definitely see the arguement against even that since that undervalues the work people physically put in. I personally think AI could be useful, especially for new artists who struggle with crunch time or huge projects. But definitely don't think people should brag about it or use it all the time, as using shortcuts means there will likely be alot of mistakes one doesn't pick up on. Im more of a writer than an artist though myself, but my friend she talks about ai sometimes and when she is working on art how she doesn't like the feeling of all her hard work be undercut by a simple program that can be used Malicously. So I see both sides, but definitely agree with artists like you and a few others. AI is being abused by assholes, and the only punishment is pregnant.

Just the occasional fraudulent calls using ai voices of elected officials, people/sites that pride themselves on making illicit material of people who never made illicit content (taylor swift ai images is one. There was a website that made illicit images of streamer girls as well. But there are cases of normal individuals being targeted). CS majors absolutely going through it as well (I don't know too much about it. But from the people I've heard it from, and talked too. It's absolutely crushing for them, especially in the entry level jobs). But its alright, they will probably eventually make more physically demanding jobs that won't pay enough to counteract the abysmal pricing of basic necessities like housing and food.
