Mary Hatfield, Roger Lewis, Michael R. Denny and Dorene Bernard share their experiences as Survivors and descendants of Survivors of Shubenacadie Indian Residential School. This video was developed as a collaboration between Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre (www.mikmaweyde...) and Parks Canada.

Cultural Genocide vs Genocide. Let me ask you this, if you're thinking one of these are worse than the other; Is it more humane to kill the body and to put a human out of their misery altogether; simply "Genocide", or is it more humane to attempt to kill the spirit and leave the human body alive; Cultural Genocide; to dehumanize, alive? So the next time you hear this term being used to undermine Genocide and make it sounds like something "less" than total, Genocide, remind yourself what's really being talked about. I can't speak for you, but I would rather to be put out of my misery than be dehumanized alive.... We're still fighting to be seen as human today. Let us not forget, this was done and continues to be upheld in the name of the false god "Jesus" and his doctrine of "discovery".

Parks Canada is doing everything it can to support the government's lies. I quit my job because I kept having to tell stories that support the settlers. Read "Authorized Heritage" written by long-time Parks historian Robert Coutts. He lays out the lies told and supported by Parks to push the colonies' objectives.
