With this game being played at the San Siro, I am mystified as to why AC Milan were playing in their away strip, while Arsenal, who were the away side, were wearing their first choice strip
It is strange, though I found brief highlights of the first leg (0-0) at Highbury, where Milan were in their home kit and Arsenal wore a blue away kit, so both legs saw the two teams wearing the opposite kit to the ones we would expect.
no this was our third kit,it was used only in this return match just to do something different..that year we had alsa a fourth kit, light blue, maybe used just one time or maybe never used..
This often happens in European competitions these days. I agree the home team should wear the home kit. But here consider: - If Milan had worn their usual away kit (all white) then it would've still clashed a bit with arsenal's kit - sometimes teams wear 3rd / 4th kits just so they can sell more kits. This match alone probably caused a load of Milan fans to buy the yellow kit because it was a high profile game. (Anyone else remember a season where Milan had 4 kits? 1) Black and red stripes 2) all white 3) red with black trim 4) black with red trim)
The ball control of these players were very good compared to the present players. The ball just stick to their feet like a leech. See how John Hartson bring down that high ball. U would have mistaken him for Ronaldinho.
