Our recent trip to Italy. We stayed in Milan and did day trips to Lake Como and Bergamo. Our trip to Lake Como included visiting Varenna, Bellagio, Villa Olmo and Como. In Milan we stayed in an apartment in Brera, lovely area with lots of restaurants and walking distance to Duomo di Milano. We mostly walked everywhere in Milan - Piazza Cordusio, Piazza dei Mercanti, Piazza del Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (Swarovski Christmas tree), Teatro alla Scala, Basilica San Lorenzo Maggiore, Colonne di San Lorenzo, Arco di Porta Ticinese, Naviglio Grande (good variety of restaurants along the canal, don't eat before you go there, order the aperitivo or take the buffet) Castello Sforzesco and Arco della Pace. In Bergamo we took the funicular up to Citta Alta. It is a beautiful medieval city. It was very foggy up there, so we couldn't get shots of the view but we had amazing focaccia pizza at Il Fornaio
