amazing video please make more. unfortunately there isn't much content about italian medschools taught in english.with these videos you are helping a lot of people all around the world. Thanks tons
in general cadaver dissections aren't really carried out by students in Italy, however most universities will have some activities related to prosections.
I really wanna study in Milan but the score last year was sooo high for Non-EU (I’m from the UK). considering a career change no longer want to do maths but I’ll finish my final year in uni and aim to get into Milan med school I’m 23. I did the bmat in the past when I was 18 and did really well above all requirements for uks top unis. Hopefully June to sep will be enough time to study the imat ;-; is it very similar?
Beware the clinical sign-off. It can become a mindless box-ticking exercise where nothing is learnt. My university is obsessed with sign-offs. Everyone just keeps getting observed hand-washing. You'll learn on the job.
Hi! I hope you read my comment.... are oral exams easy? Would they be okay for students that get anxious easily? And does professors discriminate if they don’t like a certain student?
What about the internship in italy as a medicine student ? Isn't that after 5 years of study 1 year is totally a internship? There is even have to take lectures in 6th year 😮
hi tnx for the helpful video! i wanted to ask you about the holidays and free time you can have as a med student and also the pressure of the course. is it like hell? because i've heard it in many med student videos and i'm kinda getting scared. thank you again for helping.
The amount of free time you have depends on the type of student you are. To be honest Italian medical schools can be very relaxed allowing a lot of time off, but honestly it depends on you, there's no point in being scared of something you haven't experienced lol
I am a non-eu student applying for Uni Milan , but I am not sure if this should be my first choice or not as the seats are limited. how should I make this choice based on my mock test scores? What mock tests did you sit for? what are the chances of scholarship for Indian citizens or non-eu students? Also do you have studies on cadaver?
I need to ask one thing,if I already had a bachelor degree in my home country and applying for the medicine programme, will I get the need based scholarship?
Hello..i am planning to study medicine in italy..but i had a question that how is the practical exposure there? I mean how often you get to do practicals or dissection?
Thank you once again! Is it easy to get a scholarship? Like, here, in Brazil, even if you are a low income student it's hard to win the scholarship, but it seems like if you are a low income student in Italy and prove that, you'll probably get, is that right?
All the students we asked about Pavia refused because of the anger towards their school, we're finding it hard to find an unbiased student either positive or negative!
Any means of coping up with less clinical and surgical exposures at UG Please tell And if We be proactive much can we get those exposures And by being proactive can we do surgical exposures at UG Level please tell I'm in a State of dilemma 😭😭 About what to choose Further how much of effort is needed Plus How much is the system providing (Less as you told) Compare it with other countries especially China, USA... Please tell me please 🙄🙄😭
Hey Pradip, I think I answered a part of these questions in another comment, but for the surgical exposure there are a lot of opportunities in Milano to gain surgical experience. The only limiting factor is a student's willingness to participate and to do the leg work that is involved with getting the experience. Most surgeons are more than willing to offer (at least) shadowing experience, and from that you can build a relationship with the surgical team and be able to gain more experience.
@@aklafisseha7016 Hey Akla, Serra here, after high school I actually started working and left my job at Facebook to start medicine. I did not do a bachelors degree.
@@AcadIMAT did he finish his bachelor’s before transferring to italy for med school?? im entering my 2nd year in college & im still debating whether or not to finish my undergrad here or transfer to milan next year
@@AcadIMAT he is asking about how the students rosh said the university give them free accommodation and food and no tuition How do they earn that kind of scholarship Here exactly 27:49
@@memriselearn8930 @mahmoud These scholarships are based on family income and merit, the student will need to provide a lot of documents to show that they come from a very disadvantaged socioeconomic background.
@@alexcyjayasundara8150 It is very very strongly recommended you learn Italian as soon as possible. I would say even start taking lessons now before the IMAT. It is required though you speak it before your third year before you're allowed into clinical years. I believe the level is B2 assessed by the university itself :)
It is, but to get accepted into a residency programme in Canada you must be a citizen of the country. If you are then you can apply for their equivalent of the USMLE to complete residency training there, as the degree is recognised.
It's childish to think any job is below someone, people who know exactly how to do everything even if they don't use those skills can better understand the roles and skills of a team to manage it better.
