Thanks Ron, very nice video. John Lewis is great to listen to, and as you said, he didn't throw a ton of notes into a song, he was very careful to always have the right notes. I've been getting into Afternoon in Paris, another fun one.
Bellissimo! I've spent some fun times in Milano too. Lovely playing Ron - packed full of ideas that could be explored for months. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, I'm glad you're getting some musical ideas from this! Btw, I loved the mozzarella and tomato sandwiches you could get in those little bars during lunchtime. I hope they're still there!
Lovely, Ron. As usual! I liked it as a beautiful ballad as opposed to up-tempo, be-boppy or stride. Do you know what John Lewis and Jeff Bezos have in common? Both were from Albuquerque. Must be something in the air! Lewis went to high school there and college at the University of New Mexico. He is still considered a major local hero in Albuquerque, perhaps even more than Bezos. The city has had for several years an annual John Lewis celebration. I don't think they do that for Jeff!
