Really glad I stumbled on this; certainly a much easier way to get something close to a full legion! FYI: most Roman legions tended to be around 5,000 legionaries, although you could always model yours around a legion that suffered casualties...

Calvin and Hobbes 730 I thought that might be what you were trying to say, it was your use of "sight" that confused me. I do recognize that figures may be quite a bit larger or smaller than the implied size simply because of the difficulties with scale, which could be explained by using the different reference points. I really just think of them as tiny dudes and don't care about what size they really are, but some people do so I thought it was appropriate for the review.
