Really glad I stumbled on this; certainly a much easier way to get something close to a full legion! FYI: most Roman legions tended to be around 5,000 legionaries, although you could always model yours around a legion that suffered casualties...

the 6mm is for the unit's "eye sight" not trying to be rude, just letting you know

I don't see how that could be the case.

***** "Other scales are simply listed as a certain height, such as 15mm or 54mm. Most people usually think of this as being the height of an average man (i.e., in 15mm scale, men are 15mm high), but there is a lot of confusion on this issue. According to some experts (but not all), "traditional" figure heights are measured to eye level, since measuring to the top of the head is impractical for figures wearing headgear (as many military figures do). Therefore, when a manufacturer says his figures are (for instance) 25mm scale, he might mean "25mm to top of the head" or "25mm to eye level."" again, not trying to be rude

Calvin and Hobbes 730 I thought that might be what you were trying to say, it was your use of "sight" that confused me. I do recognize that figures may be quite a bit larger or smaller than the implied size simply because of the difficulties with scale, which could be explained by using the different reference points. I really just think of them as tiny dudes and don't care about what size they really are, but some people do so I thought it was appropriate for the review.

6mm is the best! You can play a game with 6 legions on the table. Be a general, not a soldier....
