He's CRAZY talented. Deserves so much more recognition that what he's gotten. People seem to pass him off, even in TLSP- always focusing on Alex. Don't get me wrong, Alex is extremely talented as well, but in my own opinion, Miles's guitar talent is too great to compare. He needs more love.
He is nowhere close to a great guitar player. He's doing basics and sometimes messes it, but sweet lord above the sky and over the horizon! This guy is just awesome! His taste in music and music-making skills are pretty impressive!
have to disagree with the ones above me, he is a better guitarist while alex is a better lyricist.. which is why we have tlsp and we should consider ourselves BLESSED
And yet Alex was always the one with shity, drunken performances at all the recent shows. Miles always seems to know when to stop. I think Miles tends to go for the coke before shows, and Alex tends to go for everything he can get his 👐🏻 on. Love him, and it did make for a lot of fun (all aboard the Kane train) like when he pretended to be tied up on the railroad tracks, but I often didn't enjoy his vocals. You have to go back to the Humbug tour to hear solid vocals out of Al. Miles is consistent and always maintains his edge. I legit worry about Al sometimes. And "The Dream Synopsis" was laughably bad lyrically n all Al. People have blown way too much sunshine up his ass about his lyrics, and while there are some definite gems out there, I look at someone like Yannis, from Foals, who is far beyond the capabilities of Mr. Alex David Turner. But stayed tuned. We get news on AM6 Thursday.
I've never met a girl like you before Now just like in a song from days of yore Here you come a knockin' knockin' on my door And I've never met a girl like you before You give me just a day, so I want more Now my hands are bleeding and my knees are raw 'Cause now you got me crawlin' crawlin' on the floor And I've never met a girl like you before You've made me acknowledge the devil in me I hope to god I'm talking metaphorically Hope that I'm talking allegorically Know that I'm talking 'bout the way I feel And I've never know a girl like you before Never, never, never, never Never met a girl like you before Alright This old town's changed so much Don't feel like I belong Too many protest singers Not enough protest songs And now you've come along Yes, you've come along And I've never met a girl like you before It's alright, yeah...
He really reminds me of Alex Turner, they were the perfect match for each other musically. Miles Kane is one of my favourite musicians. (I sometimes pretend this song was written for me, shhhhhhh)
It's a crying shame that I have this record and have no way to play it and instead have to come and listen to it on RU-vid. Randomly popped up again though; that's nice! 🐢
have a couple of this guy's albums on vinyl and a couple of seven's to kinda lost touch with his releases, but fuck, I need to get this on vinyl, always had a thing about the original, really very northern,, put I'm sure there was purists out there that didn't see that, and Miles has just improved this song somehow, brilliant
Ik ga vanaf nu ook gewoon in m'n eigen taal posten op youtube! Eigenlijk niet meer dan normaal als ge weet hoe lang we gestreden hebben om onze Vlaamse taal te mogen spreken in ons eigen land..
