Miley comments on her mental health during shitty divorce, drugs while she was in Disney and how she got to know her voice after her vocal surgery. Please like and subscribe for more!
She was definitely made for the entertainment industry. A lot of kids would have cracked under the pressure of HM but she just kept on going and going. Completely shed the Disney image and is making art the way she wants to. Boss
I used to really despise Miley Cyrus, but after seeing how things were for her, and how she grew up I honestly respect the hell out of her. Hope the rest of her life is good, and wish her all the best.
@@jennifercaskie3895 Respect her for managing to survive being a disney child star. And also getting through all the hate she got for being her true self.
@@jocelyngray3757 Some of her past actions and statements about various things. It's petty, but I just couldn't stand some of her opinions and it was the typical "celebrity" garbage. I guess despise is probably a strong word, but I genuinely just didn't care for her. But I also grew to understand what some of these young entertainers go through, so I'm not as judgemental as I used to be when it comes to that stuff either.
She’s like a humble jaded old rocker lady who’s wise beyond her years. She gets it. She’s seen it all, and is completely in touch with herself and reality. Something quite rare for an A list celeb
@txmetalhead82xk Very apt comparison. Both Miley and Grace are intelligent and charismatic gals who had some 'wild' years and have evolved and grown through it all. Both are excellent singers, too. Rock on!
Who's here after Flowers? What a fighter! What a survivor! Love you Miley! Love love love love Flowers! Can't stop watching the video and reactions videos also!
@@Nyxthebat04 You never studied anatomy apparently. people with zero education should keep stuff they don't innerstand to themselves. pick up a book at least. Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see!
I’ve never actually listed to her talk or hear her opinions. And honestly I’m shocked. I like Miley and respect her for not being what the media portrays her to be.
That's how I felt after I watched an interview with her the first time. She is a cool chick and I have much respect for her and like how honest and down to earth she is. She's just real. And super talented of course!
As someone who used to be idolized for their singing ability, Miley truly made me comfortable with my voice getting lower as I got older, versus just the clarity and control.
Wow. I see this interview is almost two years old, and I really just stumbled across it. I've always thought Miley was kind of flaky and a spoiled multi millionaire brat, but I actually liked this interview. I think she has a pretty good head on her shoulders, all things considered. The ability to move beyond a party lifestyle and mature into an adult has done her good!
There is even a video of him ( Miley) telling the audience that he is a drag queen who tucks and tapes. These so called celebrities are ALL inverted, it is the sacrifice made to their god for fame and fortune.
Her parents clearly had a hands-off approach and that’s how you grow up too fast and hard like she talks about. Speaking from experience I wish I’d had a more healthy childhood.
There was an interview I think with either her or Dolly Parton. Pretty much they explained how music and tv are two different ball game. In a way, they, billy ray, dolly and her mom included, were caught off guard by how Disney treated Miley.
She's right about vocals. Many think it was drugs that ruined Whitney Houston voice. But she had being touring since a kid, she actually sang "live" no protocols and sequencing. Very iconic, thanks Miley for sharing about vocals .
To not automatically assume it was drug would be asinine. There are other factors as well... but alcohol and drugs do ruin your voice. Vomiting and acid reflux as well....which is worsen by drugs and alcohol.
One time I got drunk at home. My mom took care of me and just helped me through the hang over the next day. I don't know how she's done it. She's truly a Saint. 🙌🏾
Looking back at level she was at and the unimaginable things she probably was going through back then, It is good to see that she's okay now👌. She is undeniably the biggest star from Disney even after Hannah Montana. Miley has been basically tortured by the media in her peek of stardom and she was so young.
My guess as to why Rogan doesn't have vocal chord issues is, it's not just how much you talk...but HOW you talk. The "vocal fry" voice that so many young people have (think the Kardashian voice) probably wreaks havoc on your voice. There's a reason why serious heavy metal vocalists get lessons on how to scream/growl properly so they don't blow out their voice (like Hetfield and others did).
Singing wears your voice out much more than talking. Professional singers sing constantly, that plus poor technique + smoking damaged her voice. I think she sounds great though.
I discovered her later than most and think she is so amazing - her talent, her head on her shoulders, her sense of humor, her gorgeous looks, damn, she is just perfect.
Internalized misogyny? I mean she was just an annoying character for kids of Disney shows, I don’t think you necessarily have to crucify yourself on the alter of woke for that
@@internetperson9121 He's not "crucifying (him)self on the alter of woke", lol. It's called self-reflection, personal growth, and self-actualization. Very basic concepts of psychology. I dare say, given your classic example of projection via narcissistic tendencies you should also explore the aforementioned concepts of self-reflection and self-actualization. no?
@@fwdcnorac8574 The irony of you calling someone you've never met a narcissist while also accusing THEM of projecting...it's all too good, thank you!!! You even threw in a condescending "lol"! I'm not used to this level of neckbeardom outside of reddit, kudos
@@internetperson9121 aww look. He's so sad inside. Criticizes people and at the same time takes offense to criticism. Truly feels that things should only go his way and the only viewpoint is his own. I apologize. Clearly not narcissistic.
@@fwdcnorac8574 bruh u really out here using perfect grammar on youtube and over the top language to prove your great vocabulary to a stranger? Get a life
Tbh I've always felt Miley cyrus is great to me. She's stood the test of time since she's been out and she's brings out hits and she doesn't give up on her self. Thank you Ms. Miley Cyrus
you gotta love how many predetors were mad when she went "off disney" and became herself for once. she exposed a lot of sickos. and they STILL perpetuate her as the villan.
She said how the experience damaged her physically and she's still encouraging people to do it? Makes no sense especially since not everyone would be as lucky as she was
@isitsafe So because she's a young celebrity, she has no idea what it's like to have a rough life or go through hard times? Does being a celebrity make her inhuman? 🤔
@isitsafe What is hard for one, may not be hard for another. Just because her experience differs from yours, does not mean that she hasn't dealt with any hardships. Clearly not the same kind of hardships as yours, but hardships nonetheless. We all go through them. Money doesn't negate that fact.
He invites all kinds of artists, politicians, comedians, athletes. I think he did mention he does not care whether he shares same opinions and views as the guest. if the guest is willing to come on a show and have a civil conversation he is all for it. :)
I think he truly liked her and was even attracted to her beauty, inside and out. He's happily married from what I gather, but I honestly feel like he was mesmerized by her. I watched the entire podcast a long time ago- if u haven't, try to find it, its really good!!
The years sure haven't been kind to her. I had to look it up, she's younger than me, I never would have guessed she looks closer to 40 and sounds more like 60.
I don't think she gets the credit and the respect that she deserves. She is extremely talented and a breath of fresh air ❤️ *BTW,Joe I thoroughly enjoy your show❣️❣️❤️
Thank you for being you because you helped someone I care about so deeply get through a hard time I don’t wanna say your similar to mike Tyson but I believe little things to make ppl feel ok with yourself because other have been thru it before and talk about it in a light but not hiding the dirt in it as it is but the truth is it’s all so beautiful ppl like Miley showing the pain as it’s beauty and I’m getting into it more it’s really interesting and helpful and again not comparing the two but Miley helps ppl the same way Mike Tyson helps ppl they tough shit stop hating on theses gems and all the ppl that went thru it and are now speaking on it there is always so much to learn from peoples life experiences especially the hard ones
Absolutely one of the best memories in my life was when I was harvesting idk 200 pounds of pot hanging and my buddy was sleeping in the dry room...I woke up at like 2 am to go check when I opened the door my grown man buddy was in his red whit and blue star boxers blasting party in the USA dancing and singing to it like he was a 6 yr old kid made me so happy it was magic... whenever I'm down I think of that moment!!! BTW he is one of the most manly dudes I've ever known hahahaha!!!!!
Joe talks a ton, but he has a relaxed larynx when he speaks and even yells. He using is voice in an organic way, singing forcing the person to push their larynx to its limits constantly. I like Miley’s voice, she needs to release a hard rock album because her vocal register and smoky tone would be perfect for it.
Holy shit...I just realized I never actually HEARD her voice, before. Only read some articles, read the tweet that upset some people where she said "Beautiful." in response to Lawrence Krauss' quote saying "Forget Jesus, the stars died, so you could be here.", but I never actually heard her voice. Dayum! This was a surprise. Totally not how I imagined her sounding.
She has a wisdom that can only come from a self-reflection of the experiences of life’s up and down’s. I am hopeful she’s thankful to God for that self reflection ability because not everyone possesses such a thing.
I liked how she said "Hannah Montana? I LOVED being Hanna Montana!"... The photo session with Annie Leibovitz was so blown up. She was sixteen, and "Miley's Shame", O, COME ON!, it wasn't p∅rn! And besides, you don't say No to the photographer legend! She's appears to be a strong headed girl, she's a survivor, yes, and she's smart too. And that VOICE! I just hope she will stay away forever from hard drugs. It killed so many young artists.
Everyone should. You only get one shot on this ride called life. You ought to explore it if you can be responsible. Don't fall in to addiction and dependency by making the world trick you with substances, sample them with your own volition and understand why people use and come to need them. Certain drugs might help you quite a bit by showing you someone elses point of view you otherwise couldn't comprehend or empathize with.
miley has gone the full circle. remember how britney was a child star, how she was used and used until she went literally crazy from the hold they had over her? guess what miley went throught the same machine and she came out all the stronger. the world vilified her and called her all sorts of names but she didnt let that deter her. she went through the furnance of reinvention and came out winning. i love how she owns herself, is truthful about her experiences and how she survived. kudos to her for being strong, gorgeous and talented as all get out. btw, i prefer her voice now, so much richer and well rounded not squeaky soprano at all
Well the deep voice has made her an amazing singer if it's any consolation. Despite the not so nice story behind it. It sounds nothing to be ashamed off
Reading a lot of the comments on here, great stuff. Keep in mind, Dolly is her Godmother, so Miley, though has gone through some very real stuff - has one of the best support systems ♥
Damn she has mastered the humble brag!! She's Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter. Her path was laid out before her kinda like Tiger Woods. It's cool that she says that young people should "experiment"...that's a good idea. When she has kids, she should tell them to experiment. They'll either learn and become tough or die.....because ya know....evolution.
I’ve always found raspy voices insanely annoying as can be on someone with a high pitch. It just sounds like a mouse with laryngitis. But on someone with a lower tone like hers it’s really nice. There’s a depth to it that I enjoy.
She’s learned to embrace the suck that life is. People think they know her, but really have no idea. This is one of Joe’s best podcasts as we got to see her for who she really is. No hiding or lies.
I remember a while ago on X Factor UK, the 2 guest acts were Miley and Britney Spears, and when they were being discussed after their performances, everyone was surprised at how low-maintenance Miley was. She wanted a pack of jelly beans and nothing else, while Britney needed a lot more tending (to be fair Britney was performing again after a troubled hiatus, there was a whole thing about her lip-syncing too). Anyways, I always remembered that which made me take the Miley criticism with a grain of salt.
