I remember buying my first free jazz record in the 60ties: Giuseppe Logan with Don Pullen and Milford Graves. A musical wake up call! On the back of this ESP-disk it was stated: "You never heard such sounds in your life." How true ! Thanks for the music and the inspiration Milford!

@@bmangoz I see him hitting drums with sticks, not in time mind you. And him sorta....singing sometimes. Sometimes more of a arrhythmic chant. But never do I actually hear him drumming.
@@mariogonzalez1540 some people's concept of music goes WAY beyond rhythm, melody, academics, etc...If you're still hung up on it, give his older stuff a listen.
@@mariogonzalez1540 Hmmm...DO listen to his overall repertoire. And, lol, DO make sure you at least you watch entire video. "Keep time"?? "Arrhythmic"? It SHOULD sound be arrhythmic-that is the point - syncopation, as opposed to less natural, "academic" even-tempered mechanical playing that has kept drummers limited.
@@jasoncorley5703 Oh, I get it now. It's an example of that "The worse it appears the better it is" theory. Gotcha. I'll take the traditional version any day of the week.
