Not really. I understand that powermoves are harder to control than footwork, but that just means Heady needs to have more control over his moves. At least a lot of the OGs say that back then if you even brushed against someone's sneakers, bad things will happen. Which is why Alienness started the Octagon.

+Max Chang hmmm its more to do with the fact they cant do powermoves freely; they have the constant fear they may hurt someone, which limits their confidence to execute their moves that may be dynamic.

Once again, they DONT have enough control. That's their problem. That is plenty of space to dance.

I don't know if my facts are right, but! It seems like there is an "elder-rookie" dynamic to this battle, Milhouse being the more experienced dancer. Milhouse was very focused and determined to not give Heady any openings throughout the battle, even going so much to dance an extra round, but you see him relax and personally remark to Heady's efforts with the tap on the back (6:04) after everything ended. Heady was definitely having fun but still throwing out pure signatures and doing his best, as anyone should :). I wondered why Milhouse was having a very "battle" attitude for what is an exhibition, but I think this adversity was to give Heady a rough time on purpose -- an exhibition -turn - opportunity to train and experience battle with a more experienced dancer. Although Milhouse seemed rough and tough to Heady, the underlying motivation was to give Heady another experience to improve after -- like a firm but loving teacher disciplining a student on a mistake but with consequences meant to improve the student as opposed to a mere punishment. Of course, maybe my enthusiasm for the battle is pulling all of these thoughts out of thin air and Milhouse just wanted to chalk up a win on Heady. I just thought Milhouse ultimately seemed very nice if he really was trying to help Heady grow and wanted to highlight the gesture as I find it very sweet.

this has to be the most epic 1 on 1 battles. both are smooth as hell. i saw it as heady was ahead first part and millhouse catching up after......i say a tie.

zxe Take another listen. Heady has blowups and hits big things musically, but Milhouse rides tons of tiny beats. Milhouse was nasty on the beat, even if you're going to take shots at him for being a footwork bboy (as if that isn't the foundation of the dance).

I'm not taking shots at him for being a footwork bboy, but he should be listening to the music more than heady, however, in my opinion he didn't and heady hit the music more. My favourite bboy is bboy mario.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw that. Milhouse executed, hit beats, and flowed so well with his style. No doubt the heady is an incredible bboy, but he didn't deliver in this battle. Poor stamina and tons of crashes.
