Our current leaders of this country don't respect the lives lost and sacrifices such men did for us, I'm so heartbroken. I wish him the best of everything 🤝🕊️🤍
As a Swazi citizen watching this, I feel for most of these freedom fighters who have been sidelined yet they fought for the freedom of their people. Their mental health is forever compromised because of what they saw on the battlefields as they fought to liberate their country. I feel his pain because as Swazi's we follow everything that happens in SA and believe me when I say that we are emphathetic for all the struggles black people went and still go through in SA. Also, Swazis now seem to be embarking on the guerilla movements Umkhonto Wesizwe embarked on decades ago and my biggest fear is that when all is said and done, the real freedom fighters will not enjoy their freedom. Instead, you'll have these politicians wearing designer suits and Italian shoes sitting in air-conditioned offices and not giving a rat's ass about the real freedom fighters who will have lost their limbs and some even lives for the freedom of the country.
I enjoyed this video. The way he narrated from all sides and how self aware/reflective he is. He reminds of the Jay Z line “… die and be a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain…”. Great content
Today we are told this people are our brothers and they opened their borders to welcome us during the struggle meanwhile true heros tell a different story
I did my whole high school to the same high school he went to, Mjokwane, (Naas) township Komatipoort 31km to Mozambique border, fortunately during our generations it was no more a military base yoh ya this channel is really educational I ddnt knw this, thanks man💯👌
What is his name? His story is sad and touching. They were broken and sidelined. These our uncles who tell their stories on firesides, holding a beer and cigarette and doing odd jobs in communities now, chopping wood here, being community gravediggers, slaughtering animals for us during family events, that is what they have been reduced to, most of them in any case
Dzimbiri may be Zimbabwean but that doesn't mean you are entitled to come to South Africa and not respect our laws. There is no escaping that. Just respect our laws and we will get along just fine.
@@ronm4385 You must be one of those lazy people that will blame everyone but themselves. The borders are not yours they were imposed after the world wars, the laws are not yours, they are European. I dont wish to get along with you anyway. You forget that it took Zimbabwe and other countries to give you the freedom from being second class citizens
@@karabelontsamai7082 don't take chances with me bro. Even our ancestors were territorial. Precolonial the Zulus and other teibes knew precisely where their territory starts and ends, even the chiefs knew same. When there was a need for one tribe or the other to trespass, they would send what they then called "isigijimi" or messenger to request permission. That's why there were "izithakazelo" meaning "praise singing" that the tribes would use among other things to essentially charm their way or ask for the right to pass. Even when the cattle were grazing they would not go galavanting in other tribes or chiefs territory without proper protocol. Stop with this nonsensical EFF propaganda that falsely purports that Africans were unsophisticated and simply wondered from one territory to another without protocol. Africa has never, I repeat NEVER at any stage of its known existence operated as one. It's always been different strokes for different folks. Even the name of our continent "Africa" is not of our own making. It's European. Before then Afrika was named Ethiop and our ancestors were called Ethiops by the Greeks. Don't come and take chances bro. We want undocumented foreigners to go back to where they came from and leave us be because this is the order of the day even in their own countries. The Malema cult can follow them. South Africa is not going to be the secrefice lamb for this nonsensical open border Africa. Not in this lifetime or the next.
I hear all the recounting but what I like the most about this interview is him towards the end saying he has done all sorts of crime but he is not proud of it - thats the change we want.
This story I was told by someone who is a journalist I used to work with and now it's a confirmation. It was really bad for APLA and it was exactly what was going to happen when we get our freedom, the ANC benefited.
Salut comrad South Africa nation never heard and never know our struggles worse part of it they used us today we're all forgotten our fellow comrad who lost their lives in exil to this day no one ever mentioned anything about it .I was taken with my uncle as teenager to join underground army crossing borders by foot walking thousands of kms living in concentrated camp eating rats and birds for survival I still barrier my scars of fights to this day we were forced and been taught to learn foreign languages and come to SA as foreign to fight 94 when we came home we were abandoned because Mr Mandela want peace and we were thrown in the streets all our youth gone
What he is telling us can be transformed into a series on Netflix about RSA Revolutionists. Imagine ? Ep1- Leaving SA to get ammunition to fight for our land. Ep 2- Tanzania. Ep 3- Congo in the wild. Ep 4- Journey back to RSA via the Westcoast. Ep 5- AW Botha faked heart attack, De Klerk to takeover. Ep 6 Riots all over SA, Black Power taking over. Ep 7- Lifestyle has changed as we returned to RSA. Ep 8- Gangsters in the 90s. Ep 9 Drugs, guns everywhere, crime. Ep 10- Revolutionists figured out they were used by politicians. ETC..!! What do you think ? Someone creative, make this happen! Some of us need to know more about how they fought for freedom because I only know that they went to exile then came back. This important history was never taught in schools.
That part about young promising leaders getting killed by their own due to jealousy of their potential to be prominent later on shows how far jealousy goes. Imagine getting killed in the bushes of Namibia/Mozambique etc by black people who you're supposed to be fighting for freedom with, coz they hate what you cam POTENTIALLY be.
The Scorpion CZ is easier to shoot because it is a 9mm semi-auto designed for shorter range shooting, so less penetration into things such as walls unintended targets. The AK47 on the other hand, is full auto, with great fire power and longer range. This means greater penetration and damage, but just as he said, comes at a cost of handling.
And as of handling,i get bored when people think the ak47 is unruly. Its all on the shooter. Use 2 hands, use your legs and shoulders for balance and that's it.
@@opium42069 True, it's all about common sense. Every job has the right tool. When combating in civilian populated situations, high precision and less collateral damage is required, ar's like the AK12 or M16 thrives. But take things to the bush or soldier to soldier, the AK is king for days.
Very sad for these cadres, basically put their lives at risk for nothing, for some they lost their lives for nothing, shame on their fellow cadres who now are using them for selfish gains, may they be empowered
Its sad really....i think if hani would have succeeded most of them would have made it in the national army..that is my opinion anyway..because they were basically left to rot as some hot shots went to parliament.
If you go on the drop down under transcript, you will see the subtitles. Unfortunately it's not on the screen and the creators probably want to keep it authentic
Respect to people like these, im watching him using free wifi without an fear of being caught by apartheid police that im watching propaganda. Much respect.
