I'm Australian of Vietnamese descent. I travelled to Vietnam for a 2 weeks, a few months ago, and my extended family and friends had introduced me to 3 women. Rejected them all. We overseas bros are high value targets, only seen as a ticket to leave Vietnam and reside overseas permanently. The women were only pleasant, as a means to reaching the end game: Exiting the country for a better lifestyle, and sending funds back to their homeland to look after their family. They will not admit it upfront, but I know it is their primary objective; because if I were a local man, then I'd be invisible to them. Your family will betray you, because it is far more important to them, to use you as a means to extend their social networks, and have more of their kind leaving the country. Asian parents tend to value their social status higher than their children's individual needs and desires. Hence, why they are always chasing the bragging rights of their children's achievements, rather than their children's happiness.

I met a girl in Colombia who was all the things this guy described--pleasant, feminine, submissive etc.. It is a long story, but she ended up coming to US and living with me. The bait and switch happened overnight. I saw her phone and she had Tinder installed, and she was on other dating apps as well. She didn't want to work and just wanted to sit home and watch TV all day. She was also begging me to marry her so she could get a permanent visa. I did not oblige and kicked her ass out after 4 months. Hopefully this guy can learn from guys like me and F&F and never ever under any circumstance bring a woman back to the US.

The biggest red flags for me was that she was never in a relationship until 29, and she’s marrying a man younger than her, which is very unusual in Viet culture and not common.
