Im literally going to meet a recruiter tomorrow with my cousin and im nervous(hes in the military) i just nervous becuade im so put of shape and scared as hell
@@jayysmalls4443 no problem. Trust me I’ve been in the army too long. Words of wisdom. Common sense is not common. If you understand what that means it’ll help you out in the long run
i leave june 6th for osut at ft leonard wood and then going straight to airborne school after. i’m actually pretty excited for basic but i think i’m more so nervous about how much sleep i’m gonna get 😂 i value my sleep so much. but great video and thank you for the great advice❤
Thank you for watching! 😅 youre high speed already girl 👏🏽 best of wishes to you!! luckily they’re supposed to ensure you get atleast 6-7 hours of sleep majority of the time!
@@kyonnap_ so I’m 28 and just now deciding to join so I feel like drill sergeants are bouta be on my ass 😂 and I’m the type of person if someone raises their voice at me I will fr get teary eyed lmao 😭 so yeah getting smoked or not doing well is what scares me the most.
I feel you girl 😂 honestly it’s gone be even older people than you in there. Unless you tell them your age they won’t know. Just flow with the motion. Do your part but don’t mess up too much. Stay right in the middle then they won’t be able to single you out. Even though you will stand out at some point. Only because everyone ends up being awkward and sticking out sooner or later lol
I ain’t gone lie.. it’s pretty hard if you don’t know much about the fundamentals. But you’ll be taught them, just hope you’re able to catch on more naturally than others.
This was a great video, I haven’t seen much content like this and it was very helpful. I am super interested in psychology and everything military. I’ve looked at quite a few different MOS’ through all the branches and am curious to learn which branch/ MOS you would recommend for someone who wants to eventually work for a federal agency like the FBI, CIA, etc.
Thank you so much!! I’m glad you found it helpful 😅 I think the best MOS series for you would be military intelligence. (35 series) Military police.. maybe even signal series
Listen I definitely enjoyed this video . I don't know why I felt emotional especially when you said if your'e watching this video " youre a go getter "I truly appreciate this video ... I leave April 4th any tips on how to really be successful at basic training??
Awww thank you! I’m glad you found this video helpful. Yes you’re a go getter definitely just remember basic training is all mental. It’s all a game, think of it as such. You’ll be out before you even realize it!
I ship out on Monday, and I’m nervous. I’m not very in shape and I’m worried I can’t keep up with the others. My biggest fear is getting recycled cuz I don’t meet the standards. Also scared of the victory tower lol I have an extreme fear of heights
Congrats to you for making it this far 😅🙌🏽 but as far as being in shape.. did you not take the OPAT with your recruiter? That test is supposed to test your physical capabilities before even joining? But I would assume you’re not too far off. What do you need help with physically?
I’m shipping out on Jan 2nd I’m in good shape and everything it’s just mentally I’m honestly nervous and scared especially with my mom living by herself with my dog IDK man it’s a joyful feeling I’m leaving but it’s bond and the times I’ve been around her since birth. I’ve never left her side and now ima be leaving her for 5 years. I don’t know man it’s just a weird, nervous, joyful, scared feeling you know I need some advice lol
Congratulations to you for making for a decision!! 🎉& trust me, I know the feeling of thinking about people & things you’re leaving behind.. but I do wonder why didn’t you choose a Reserve option? That path is best for those who want to go back to their previous environment.
@@kyonnap_ I wanted to explore and adventure out honestly I love my family but at the same time I want to do my own thing you know ive been with them for 22 years at some point I need to split off and do my own thing.
If it brings anybody any comfort the DS’s nowadays for the most part are pretty chill, and due to new training regulations and guidelines they can’t force you to do anything really really extreme punishment wise (IE drinking water till you puke like the marines)
Leaving in May 24!! Im excited and scared lol lets talk about AIT, mines 10 weeks (actually 8) and its in VA! I have a couple friends in that state. While in AIT can i go out and meet them?? I mean on the weekends
Best of wishes to you girl! 🙌🏽 and when I was in AIT, we were restricted of leaving off post due to COVID. But I think regularly you can go off post but have a hit time to be back. Im sure it won’t be a lot of freedom, but I’m sure once you know the rules you’ll be able to do things that will get you back on time.
@@kyonnap_ thank youu! I hope im able to go meet them as im really looking forward to that. I started going to an actual gym for some workouts! Hows cardio? Im reeeally bad at running and I know thats a HUGE thing there! Also did you guys get to do the chamber, taser, spray, or are those not being done anymore? One more thing will we have our phone in AIT?
What’s the purpose of raining on someone else’s parade? If you wouldn’t stay solid going through the process and can easily be broken down then don’t put your insecurities on my subscribers 😒
Wow - so cheerful ! Maybe a good follow-on topic is the strategies you did to save the amount without a bonus. Is DI or Recruiter in your future ? Speaking of the future - have you been hitting the books for the GRE? - I'm one of your biggest cheerleaders for you to become Dr./PhD. KP
