Cpl. Kelly asked us to check your channel out. Great job! Keep on keepin on. Remember it's all about having fun and loving being at one with Nature 👍😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Corporals Corner Sean Kelly said your channels worth the time so I’m here! Looking forward to learning new things and applying them to my camps. Peace!
Great overnight revealing simple expectations for newbies and a wannabe like me. Thank you Shawn Kelly for Paul’s referral. Great comment on how dark the woods really get even when the sky has light.
Good stuff Paul. Good set up. My time backpacking was similar with a quarter dome tent and civilian gear comparable to yours. Here is a tip for your comfort in sleeping. Take something to make a roll to place under your knees for support when sleeping flat like that. You will rest better.
You have a friend in Shawn Kelly, good sir; his recommendation was, initially, my sole reason for the sub. Now that I've watched one of your videos, I can see why he placed such confidence not only in your expertise, but your ability to convey your knowledge to the viewers. Keep up the good work.
Cpl. Kelly sent me over to your channel. I'm looking forward to watching more of your time spent in the woods. The metal around the hole on the strap for the rain cover is called a grommet. Thank you for sharing.
I'm looking forward to seeing you evolve. Meaning, so I can say I remember the first time I watched him he was great then and amazing now! Keep it up! Love watching your videos. The river in the morning was FANTASTIC. Also, I enjoy and respect the fact that you mentioned that you use technology out in the woods. Sometimes just being out in the woods is fantastic but being out in the woods with something you want to watch can make it even better. Keep up the fantastic work.
Corporal Corner have a lot of faith in you. So do the rest of us here in Australia. keep up with the good work, in time you'll be as good as CC & DC. thank you for sharing mate.
Hi! I`m a new first time watcher. a great camp-out vid , Im 78 years old and have done most things survival - wise. its a great site thanks for taking the time. Have a healthy happy and prosperous "Holiday" regards Rob UK.
Corporal Kelly, sent me over to your channel. Glad I did. You have interesting videos. I like military surplus a lot. I really want to get one of those Litefighter 1 tents. I never had a good sleep on those closed cell foam pads either. I have the Army Thermarest self inflating mattress also. Good to know it's not half bad with the Marine foam pad underneath. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 👍⛺
Glad I came to your channel Corporals Corner is my favorite. I trust his opinion and suggestions. Good luck, I will continue to watch and thank you for sharing your knowledge. God Bless
Per Cpl. Kelly, he stated you had a good way of testing kit. I agree. You have a good way of showing the details of setting up gear. Good job. Hang tough and maybe add a tarp over the top of your tent. It shades everything in the summer, much less in rain. John
Oh yeah!! Gonna add one more thing to add... Would have LOVED to have seen you Segway your spoon incident into a valuable lesson and watch you carve/whittle out a spoon! These things happen to ALL of us and it would have been a great opportunity to teach those that DON'T know how, what to do if it happens to them!! Again, great work
@@adaptablesurvival I have watched Corporals Corner for a long time. I never understood the importance of the like and sub and comment format of RU-vid that well. I apologize to him personally for my lack of understanding how all this stuff works. I love learning and the cool thing I like is perspective, everyone has their own ideas. What works for you approach, that is what makes the world go around. I personally feel that what you and Kelly promote is self reliance and knowledge is power. You men are Patriots and I am going to start going out to put into practice my knowledge based on what I've learned over the last many months. Keep doing your thing and hang in there! You will be there before you know it.
Great video and location. I have most of that same year from the army. I absolutely love my LiteFighter 1, It is by far my favorite tent system. Again great video and I will continue to watch them!
I love this guy's tent and some of his techniques is awesome 👌 And, I'm like him on the air pump ..it sucks when you can't even air up a sleeping pad with it ? And , it's no telling, what it cost ? Thanks for sharing..I really enjoyed your video.
@@adaptablesurvival I loved this video especially that tent!! Just wanted to say that Corporal's corner said to check you out! So here I am! I also subbed. If I could suggest the mosquito situation is to use pine needles as a deterrent. Might want to check into plants that are indigenous to the area that you live in. A smudge pot filled with moss might do the trick for keeping the mosquitoes away.... Keep up the good work!! I hope your hip is better. A good thing to incorporate into a diet is bone broth! It helps your joints and is like oil for the cartilage. I've been using the powder that I buy at Walmart.
Merry Christmas. This is the first time I have seen one of your videos. very good. I am prior army vet. Trying to brush up on a few things. Just had a total hip replacement last weekend, I should be ready to go by spring Good to watch you video and I hope to see many more . keep up the good work.
Good job. I Like your content! Good to see a new face in the field! Sent over by the corporal, and was a good recommendation. Would like to make a few suggestions.. if I may? Putting in prices, or letting us know if something is cheap or expensive will help draw interest (i believe)... also give us YOUR real opinion, wether, you like something or dislike and would never use it! It's what we watch for! If someone like you with experience says it's junk, or useless etc... or they love it and should put it in their bag... let us know!! That's why we watch good sir... I'll buy something based off of your word or experience.. I'll also avoid something all together if you say so... this is one of the main reasons I come to watch, is to learn what works and what doesn't from an experienced person.. And loosen up! Have fun! Love the content and experiences you bring, I just think these few things might help you to get more subscribers... Hope I don't offend.. honestly! Would just really love to see an experienced young man like you succeed! Keep up the great work, sir and you've got a new subscriber.
Can’t believe you didn’t clear the ground before putting the tent down makes me feel uneasy dude 🥴 apart from that nice video dude you got a new sub from me 👍🏼
for mosquitos deet 100% sprayed around and i use a good size battery op fan in my tent it kills em off moves air & makes noise i cant sleep quiet. being from NYC that works for me. hope that tent is waterproof mine was not the spray didnt do it so a tarp over fixed that 👍
I will try and go threw past videos every couple days. Watch what I liked, and give ya some Mark's on board. I like to watch. Disabled but still try to keep on keeping on to. Fish, camp. Just got tarp/ ferro kit. X mas
I like the tent but you mentioned your feet hitting the other end . How tall are you ? The extra space under the fly is nice though . Looking forward for more videos. Have a good evening
Could you tell us what area you are in. I mean I could guess based on the way you speak and what the area looks like, but I know I always like to have some info on where these videos are done. Keep it general of course, but at least something.
My GG chief patrol pack is arguably some of the best money I've spent on outdoor gear surplus or not. Got the litefighter 1 tent too which, aside from attracting a swarm of bees and yellowjackets, has worked well so far. Id like a 2p or winter version of it for interior gear space (since scorpions, tics, spiders and snakes getting into gear stored in the vestibule are an issue in my AO outside of winter) but dang they're spendy...I've considered getting the winterization set for the 1p though since that could work. Any chance you've gotten and used that?
I run a very similar tent and I am constantly annoyed by it, but yours seems to include all the things I like and fix all the things I dont like. What's the cost on it, if you don't mind me asking?
Also I don't like the Litefighters I feel its an attempt by the company to get military contracts where they create a durable product, but limit the camo patterns on them to Coyote or OCP? Where is the OD Green Version, UCP Version, Woodlands Version? The tent itself if you have a two man onwards starts to take on difficult assemble issues as well as can be difficult to clip together. This was confirmed in an extensive review. Pro's are ventilation, high zip system and 4 seasons ability. However I'm sorry I'm not sold on them. I feel there is much room for improvement.
I want to get a Litefighter 2 myself. I've looked at the USMC version too, just haven't found one for a deal yet. This one has served me very well the last couple of years with no issues.
@@adaptablesurvival I have a Snugpak Ionosphere right now, so I can't justify getting another 1 man tent, regardless of feature differences. I like that pack btw.
Why didn’t the poncho liner have a slit in the center so you could use it as a “poncho liner”...? So you could put it over your head and then put your poncho on over it. Without the slit, you couldn’t.
We never hear of anyone getting stuck in a survival situation with 7 days of fresh briefs, individually labeled and separately bagged and a large brisket sandwich. That never happens.
Hi , I like you video's however what we are seeing is a massive amount of person doing the same things overnights with gear reviews? You need to do something different. Corporal Corners even says this? Maybe to help you out you could try getting into mods of gear??? Not giving anything away! What people seem to asking for is good budget gear that is adapted to their needs. Anyhow that is my opinion.
