I have thick coarse hair with a tight curl but i found that i don't have to use much of the product to get the curl I want and retain the moisture I need, I wear a short burgundy colored afro style about 4 inches long. I use the Pattern hydrating shampoo and lightweight conditioner and while my hair is soak and wet I put on the about a quarter size each of moisture milk and the styling cream blended together in my hand and massage through the stands of my hair. I then allow my hair to air dry and then pick it out from the root with a wide tooth afro pick and it pulls the length out but leaves the curl in place. My whole head of hair is shiny and soft and moisturized to touch and easily picked through. At times I also like to refresh and add moisture with just a spray bottle of water or Pattern hydrating mist to refresh my curls at some point during the day. I love the product but it doesn't take much to make it work for me and too much of it makes it a little stiff. Less is more for me keeping in mind my hair is short is intentionally.
First day hair was poppin'! It would be hard for anyone's hair, with only mousse, to stand up to 90 degree weather at the beach. You're getting heat, salt water from the air, sand, etc. I think your hair held up quite nicely considering all it went through. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with us.
So true! It could've looked A LOT worse. I probably should've used their leave in, and it would've done even better. I really like the milk though, I just need to play around with it. Thanks for watching! 💛
Hey Faren. I LOVED your results. The Moisture Milk combined with the Strong Hold Gel left me with a pretty wash and go. I’ve seen all of your Pattern videos and your results have always been beautiful. Your hair loves Pattern💕.
Just an FYI, the hold on that gel isn’t strong. The cast breaks easily and my curls are left with a soft hold, which I prefer. It’s no Jello Shot, for sure🥰💖.
Hi! I have the moisture milk and can’t wait to try it. I wonder if you would have used the leave in, then the moisture milk and then the mousse if your hair would feel a little more moisturized. Not sure though if that would be too much product. I think your results were good considering it’s not a leave in. I did wash and go using Pattern’s mousse only and I woke up the next day my hair was like stop playing lol… I have to layer it with her gel next time as it was not enough hold for me. The good thing is you learn by trial and error. I am looking forward to trying this moisture milk❤
🤭🤭🤭🤭 your hair was like….GIRL YOU TRIED IT! I was actually thinking of trying it with the leave in then the moisture milk then the mousse. But like you said trial and error is the best way to learn! I do think the moisture milk is a good product, it might be heavy enough to use for a twist out….so we’ll see! ☺️
Yes! We’re on the same page. I might try one side with the leave in and the other without. Just to see what that does, and use the moisture milk on damp hair
I just used my blowdryer and stretched the roots a little. I've never tried their gel before but I've seen other video's where they've used the mousse and the gel together and the results were gorgeous! So yea, I'd try it!
