Milky Way Photography Road Trip To Utah And Arizona 

Traveling from one side of the country to the other feels like going to a different planet! If you ever make it here, plan on renting a vehicle and making a long road trip!

Welcome to USA!!! If you come, Yosemite is a must!! May as well add Mono Lake to your list. It's absolutely gorgeous and dark for the milky way.

Jumping cacti are so cool looking! I knew from the moment I started heading to that area a jumping cactus would have to be in the shot somehow!

Yeah, I am in Orange County. I wanted to shoot the Milky Way so badly this Summer if it weren’t for my car situation. Just bought a Rokinon 14mm.

I won't lie, it was rough driving almost non-stop for two days each way alone. I'm considering some kind of RV for future astro adventures. I have no idea how I'm going to afford it, but now I have goals!

@@davidletz9123 Yes! I always use 24mm with a full frame camera for both.

First of all I saved up for a long time for this trip. This is not something I can do anytime I want. I used a rental vehicle so that cost me around $500 for a week. Gas was about $80 a day while I was driving a lot. Once I got settled I wasn't spending much on gas at all. I think I spent around $400 on gas for the entire trip. I slept in rest stops or camped in BLM land, so I never paid a dime for a place to stay. You should totally get the Campendium app and pay the $50 yearly fee so you can see the BLM maps. BLM land is free public land that you can stay on but it's usually found in the west. Like west of Texas. Campendium also shows you campsites in national parks, rest stops, and forests. That would be great! And I haven't noticed any chemtrails but that's because I really can't see through the endless cloud cover and smoke! 😂 It's never been this bad

@@deltaastrophotography Sometimes when we have a lot of cloud cover and there's a slight break in the sky, I'm seeing our wonderful government spraying above the cloud cover.
