agreed! I would love an Automaton update that added tactics and strategy. Imagine engaging an Automaton base and they form a battle line to engage you!

Man, imagine that we able to play as other faction in helldivers, imagine the fun, the chaos, the thrill, and the cinematic gameplay footage worth movie shot that everyone would experience if we able to battle each other in the game. I mean, this short alone make me wish to play as automaton and fight to for the independence of cyberstan whatever it cost.
Playing as the automatons probably wouldn't be fun 💀 they got no stratagems, they're fairly slow, and unless you're playing as a hulk, they have weak guns. Bot team would be getting demolished every time unless the Helldivers play as SEAF Marines or something instead
Absolutely, it wouldnt be the cleanest thing, but the Dread wins. I think of it kinda like a Leman Russ fighting a predator: The Russ would deal some damage, but be quickly removed from field

Like you jsut see a shot of the commisar slowly aiming his flare gun into the air and firing it as 2 or 3 gunships sweep overhead, followed by dropships carrying even more bots
This is what us pulling up to the automaton home world should look like,make the creek look like a walk in the park ,while this is no mans land,but add some things to even the playing field like decreasing the cooldown of stratagems so its just a slaughter fest
