it wasn't the only time. I had just moved from California to Upstate NY in 1989. I was a teenager and was at the NY State Fair in Syracuse. I went with my mom and little sister to watch Tom Petty. Was a big GNR fan. Axl came, just like in the video here. The crowd went wild.

I love both bands,Tom Petty and the Heart breakers, out of Gainesville Florida, being a Floridian they continued the states Rock n roll representation as they came right around the time of the plane crash that took Lynyrd Skynyrd from us

If you like this; you should definitely watch Axl with The Rolling Stones - Salt of the Earth and Axl/Bruce Sprinstreen - Come Together and Axl/Elton John - Bohemian Rhapsody.. Axl in his prime could sing everything; and when he did the snakedance: you knew shit is ON!

Drank with axl at mons venus the whole band rode in a van it was in like 88 .slash,I zzy ,duff had 5 deep women axl sat alone at the bar said get these guys drinks .paid my whole like 70 dollar tab I just said man you guys did it . He kinda s ooffes yeA brother we were great.well see were working or a double albun. I said I can't imagine he was totally cool I did Nt push a coversation.all the other guys went in private room.he did ha e a huge body guard
