Hi guys in this video i tried three different sounds on my E-Drum Set.
The first one is the default kit you find in the Millenium module, i don't like the original kits because they sounds too fake.
The second one is a LogicProX Plug-in (Producer Kit SoCal+ in this case).
The last one is my favourite Plug-in (Slate Drums SSD 5 Free)
Which one do you prefer?

Hey man, i have a question. Maybe some questions. When i use reaper with superior drummer, i set midi in and midi out and superior drummer recognizes the hits in the pad and makes sound, but the problema is that the sound comes out of the computer, and not out of the speakers that the drums are connected to. It does not change the sound of the drums, only makes sound on the computer. Shouldnt the midi out make it sound through the speakers where the module is connected through? Hope you understand me. Thanks!

Hey, great demo. I was looking into buying this kit but wasn’t sure if it was worth saving more for a better kit or just going for this one at its low price? I’m only going to be using it for practicing because my acoustic kit has brought complaints from neighbours. Also can it be used with a double kick?

hello thank you, if you have the money I recommend you get a better product. I feel good (to practice at home, so a simple use) with this model but I am aware of having some limitations that the pro kits do not have. I confirm that it can be used with the double pedal.

hi, thanks for the demo, it really helped when buying this drum set. Now that I have it at home I wanted to ask if it is possible to get this ssd 5 plugin as sample wav files on to my kit via usb(since this module. allows it). I just love this plugin but I do not want to connect the computer al the time. Can you also tell me the name of that plugin? thank you very much

What DAW do you use with SSD. Also will be getting the 850 this week and I have the SSD downloaded. Is it possible to play with ssd enabled connected to an external amp? With no delay?

I use LogicProX and yes it is possible.

Awesome demo! I was planning to save up some money to buy this kit. I have a question about it. I’ve heard that the bell trigger on the ride can be quite difficult to trigger sometime and needs a harder hit to get the bell sound. How is your experience with it? Also, I know that you can run midi outs through the USB cable, but does it also support recording each piece (kick, snare, crash etc.) separately in a DAW? Or only the whole kit? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I confirm that the ride and hi-hat are not very precise. As for the registration of the kit via usb midi, yes…in your daw you can register every single component and modify / adjust it in post (this is the nice things about midi). Remember that to do this you must have plug-ins installed in your daw.

@@sebastianosabo The Hihat is very good, the thing is that you need to hit it on the right position I had this problem before too, if you check your hihat it has some extra lines in the position where the trigger is, I noticed in your video you are playing the hihat in the oposite position (check it you will find the extra lines I am talking about) The ride-bell yes the bell is not very accurate BUT it is very good (85% of the times picks all the hits)

sure, you can map every single drums component on ssd 5, even on the free version

Does the ride have only a bell and normal ride or is there a crash ride dualzone too?

with the original sounds (using the module) you only have bell and ride, from software (using plug-ins) you can better manage the various sounds on the various cymbals

a question. what is that logic pro? Because with that the drums sounded much better. more realistic. how does this work?

LogicPro is a Digital Audio Workstation, inside there are some plug-ins, including drum kits, which you can play via midi from your e-drum.

@@nrgthiago7064 I don't know, however, keep in mind that LogicPro is a paid DAW ... there are other free daws (such as Reaper) but there are no logic plug-ins.

Hi, i have never tried roland or yamaha, but i guess not. This is a good product but still a mid-range product. For my personal opinion the sounds of the module are really poor in fact I always use virtual kits (from PC)

@@timofeyevtushenko2511 Pro -When I play the drums I feel that the pads have a good response - easy to configure (MIDI) -good aesthetics -number of cymbals and pads provided Con -the module - the hi-hat (on-off mechanism) - the pedals

How do you set up the drum kit with Logic Pro x please?

1) Turn on your drum kit 2) connect the kit to your laptop with an ab usb cable 3) at this point open logic (your kit will be recognized as a midi input device) 4) assign it a logic drum kit or an external vst, now your kit is ready.

@@jamiebronson6600 Are you using logic vst or other? I didn't have to configure anything, I just turned on to the hi-hat mechanism and it worked by itself. (I confirm that the hi-hat does not work well and sometimes does not detect hits)

Mr A Belgrave The producer kit is already installed on logic pro (because is a logic plug-in) instead for ssd 5 I left the link in the description for the free trial version

hi dan, for home use without too many pretensions it is perfect, especially for the price. The original sounds and the hi-hat control are to be rejected, in fact (for better kits) I connect it via midi and use various vst. Obviously there are better e-drums on the market but you should spend more.

You have to connect it every time to your PC because you need a DAW (digital audio workstation) to make them work. I leave you the link of one of my videos where I list everything you need for free. -To connect the module just use a simple USB cable -I recommend a pc that has at least 16gb of ram and a good GPU -i recommend you Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
