Man I’m so glad you are doing this album. The rest of this album just keeps getting better all the way to the end.Bruce’s album Accident of Birth is just as bad ass as this one IMO
Definitely one of my favorites from this album, especially the catchy chorus! Also the bass intro reminds so much Wrathchild, which makes it more great. 🤘
You HAVE to listen to this live version from “scream for me Brazil” live album, which is f*cking killing. This one was the only track recorded in Rio de Janeiro city and I was there 🤘🏼, the rest of the tracks were recorded in São Paulo city.
Adrian did play on this album along with Roy Z as the other guitarist, and also Co wrote "killing floor " with Bruce, he is seen in this video that you have just watched, Definitely please go for the Rio version of "tears of a dragon" Bruce singing with the band Tribuzy, it's one of Bruce's greatest live performances, unforgettable
The REAL Maiden love comes at the very end of the last song on this album Machine Men.The last lyrics of the album I believe was symbolic of Bruce rejoining Maiden a year later
When me and my friend was listening to Machine men on first listen on the day Chemical Wedding came out there’s a lyric at the end that Bruce keeps repeating that not only gave me chills but I literally said to my friend “Dude,Bruce is getting back together with Maiden because there’s NO WAY he emphasizes those lyrics in a song he wrote if he never plans on playing with Maiden again. You’ll catch it when you hear it
Bruce’s solo stuff is heavier than Maiden and it rocks the shit. Maidens great too, just different but I thin the heavier metal played slightly lower in his vocal range is just perfect for him.
Yes Hurm, third time is the charm. It is Wrathchild. As soon I heard this song i thought Wrathchild. Another good song on this album, one of my favorites. Great bass and chorus on this one.
Bruce Dickinson was always a capable songwriter in Iron Maiden... clearly, he wanted this single to be similar to 'Wrathchild' on the 2nd album 'Killers'... But sadly, few artists have been able to break out of the shadow of their iconic bands on their own. Dickinson was not one of them... hard as he tried. Ozzy Osbourne & Ronnie James Dio were able to have success outside of Black Sabbath... Guitarist Michael Schenker also had success outside of Scorpions and U.F.O. ... and Doro held her own after the demise of her band Warlock... David Coverdale had success w/ Whitesnake after Deep Purple's breakup... But others were not so lucky - Ian Gillan of Deep Purple could not cut it as a solo artist... Vince Neil of Motley Crue... Jason Newsted of Metallica... Paul Di'Anno of Iron Maiden... Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow... Tarja Turunen of Nightwish... All failed commercially in their solo efforts.
Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish)... has not failed commercially in her solo career. He may not be on the same level as his former band, but he's thriving with each album.
