I’ve got an Airco 225 MSM Stinger II that’s been in the family since it was new. The adjustment wheel only works in the middle of the range and I’m trying to clean it up so I can at least get the lower amperages. Anyway Miller bought Airco and my machine looks just like yours except that it’s orange and has one fan. Thanks for your video.
Hi thanks for the comments!! I've been real busy sorry if I haven't replied to some of you guys this kind of welders are great working horses very dependable IF you take care of them of course if not even the best welders machines will fail and yes they are great for starters and for thick metals we are talking of 200-250 amps more than enough for wherever you want to weld I like the old style not the new style if you can get them for under $200.00 you're good anyway!! Thanks again if any questions please ask!!!!!!
Sorry for the incomplete comment Dave I run out of that lube but any NON Conductive lube will do the work just don't apply to much to the point where it'll be dripping just enough for the handle to be smooth
Yo i just got one of these welders, i know its been a while since you posted but do you think this machine is worth restoring and learning stick on? Im 19 so im still a baby in the welding world😂
@@jesusflores7814 That's awesome to hear! Thanks so much mate, I can't wait to get mine up and running. And great video by the way, it's nice to see what I'll be working with👍
Do you still have this Miller AC welder? These Miller arc welders have a horrible reputation and everyone says that you should only buy an old Lincoln. But the Lincoln AC225 aluminum core transformer arc welders are considered overpriced junk also! So I don't know which one to buy? Aren't Miller's always better?
i see one for sale for $200 canadian, what would u say the duty cycle is for running 100-110 AMS? are those connections smaller than say a dialarc? i am on the fence to buy or not but $200 seems cheap, mostly just want to use to practice root welds so will prob be only running it 70 amps so guessing 100 percent duty cycle. good point on lubing the shunt and fan, i should do that on my other welders, should post a vid or two burning some rods, like to see and not too many vids on these, thanks
how do uou take the cober off i have a machine just like it but the adjustment handle wont come off don know was holding it a pin or screw any help will be great
the pin seems to be seized on the handle hole wont come out at all, tried a punch with a hammer lightly ,but dont want to hammer too much and bend the adjustment screw its already hard to turn,i will try to spray wd40 on the pin and hammer some more hopefully i dont bend or break anything
@@jesusflores7814 ,muchas gracias....stoy restaurando una thunderbolt 225ac y esa era mi duda ah veo me en el modelo del vídeo tiene una cinta para ver el amperaje la mía no tiene esa parte solo una platina
