I side more with Randy on this one. There is more to fishing than catching and business. FFS isn't going away. It doesn't have to, but it isn't wrong to put limits on it in competition, etc...

It just seems like Ben is more interested in being right and he discounts and ignores what he doesn't want to hear. Then, he flat out doesn't give Randy any grace when Randy offers it to him. Perhaps that's a generational thing, perhaps it's just that Ben feels he worked for what he got and is entitled disrespect who he wants if he feels disrespected. The reality is that other sports have found compromises with technology, so can fishing.
Im a former steelhead fisherman who's been bass fishing for a year, but nevertheless, this FFS "debate " in regards to tournaments is not diificult. Lets say some new tech company invented an eye implant that allowed anyone to shoot like Steph Curry. Would anyone still watch the NBA ?? FFS seems like the same thing. Now any Joe Schmo can spend a year studying basic lure usage for water temps, color and season, go buy a $150k loaded boat, and become a legit tournament guy. Once its that easy, no one will care about tournaments. You can already see it the college bowl season. The 4 team playoff, along with the transfer portal has made the smaller bowls irrelevant. People are not so interested anymore. This year, the only 2 non playoff bowls anyone talks about are the Orange Bowl Georgia / FSU disaster and the damn Pop Tart Bowl. And only because the winners got the giant edible Pop Tart. Not everything improves with tech.
Milliken is the clown prince of bass fishing...lately... he's become an abrasive loud mouth...kinda like a pro wrestling character. I wonder if its really him these days or his WWF persona we're seeing?
I don’t know if I would blame it on YT changing him. I was a very early subscriber of Ben’s. He only had a thousand or so followers and videos getting a couple hundred views. I found it hard to follow his videos after just a few months. It wasn’t because he wasn’t a good fisherman. It was the sanctimonious attitude.
Well if it really was "Ben versus Randy" we all know that would be a blowout! Ben will do things with his career Randy could only dream about! His knack for finding and catching fish is incredible😊
If by “knack” you mean incredible at using FFS then yes. What this season has proven over and over is Ben is great on lakes where FFS is effective & lousy on lakes where the conditions don’t favor FFS. He’s a one trick ponytail. I mean pony.
I've seen some videos from both but I don't really watch either nowadays. I used to watch Randy's videos a few years ago but when he started to put out negative ranting videos complaining about other fishing channels I unsubbed and started passing on clicking his videos. Can't say anything about the other dude I've only seen a few of his videos. What's the TLDR on the drama this time around?

Don’t think being from Nebraska makes Ben a yankee and Ben has about a five time bigger following than Randy. I watch Randy some but I get tired of his piss and moan sessions every other video about FFS. He thinks since he’s been fishing fifty years his opinion is the only one that matters and if you don’t see things his way you’re bad for fishing and don’t know anything.

Pretty easy when you got a live feed fkin camera showing you exactly where they are and how they're relating to your lure . Bro FFS is no different than spotlighting deer. If someone CAN'T catch them with FFS, they may as well give up. Not impressed whatsoever with any bass or bag of bass caught while using that shit.
Randy whines and moans WAY too much, and he has a much higher opinion of himself than is warranted. So many of his videos are like, "You won't believe the top secret bass technique I am going to share...", and then he goes on to talk about some generic method that fishermen have been using for decades. Milliken is much more knowledgeable, more successful both in RU-vid and fishing, but can be a little abrasive at times. Also, what the hell does being a "yankee" have to do with anything. My dude, it is 2023, not 1823.
At times yes, but the shit he's whining about most of the time is really important to the future of the sport. I only wish more pros would just come out and say FFS should be banned instead of hem hawing around with their answers so they don't get in trouble with sponsors.
