Milling Biggest Burl in my life. Logs to Lumber on a Bandsaw. First cut on Felder FB 510

Nice, the FB510 is one of my favourite saws to use. I use a plywood jig for the saw to mill logs, it runs in the mitre slot on the table. Table extensions are nice, they increase safety, accuracy and they make the work so much easier. I like your dog, we have a Bernese/Shepherd cross.

Поздравляю с приобретением! А ясень всегда хорош и красив. И проверяйте дерево на металл. Кто-то когда-то забил гвоздь, он зарос и полотну хана. Находил гвозди на глубине в двадцать сантиметров.

What you have are sections of the outside of a pruned tree which it's cuts began decaying and callusing. Burls are quite different. However, since you look so happy in your ventures, continue.

Nowa maszyna - porządna! Nowe możliwości realizacji nowych pomysłów. Widać WD się rozwija! Cieszę się razem z Wami i niecierpliwie czekam na projekty z zastosowaniem tego Feldera, bo zdaje się, że tego jesionu to trochę masz... A póki leży w kłodach to marnieje. Ja aż tu w Warszawie słyszałem jak prosi: "porozcinajcie mnie chłopaki zanim zgniję". ;))) Bardzo fajny pies - tak samo ciekawski jak moja sunia. Też musi swój nos wszędzie wetknąć! Ona wręcz uważa za swój obowiązek "wszystkiego dopilnować" swoim nosem!

Congratulations on the new Felder. I have one, and would think very hard, before “upgrading “ to the ceramic guides. In my opinion they are not worth the cost, and the cut is no better than the original guides. Fantastic looking wood. Enjoy it’s a great machine.

The first burl almost looked like ash, but hard to tell. One thing I have done on my table saw, that may work for this, is to take a long straight edge, like 10 feet, and clamp it to the table saw, work bench, and outfeed table so I can make a long straight cut. You would need a tall fence for that burl. I would have made bowls out of it....

Eine Frage an euch. Ich habe auch eine FB 510 weil ich Baumstamm Abschnitte in der Mitte auftrennen möchte. Jedoch zieht meine Säge massiv nach rechts (3-4 cm ) bei einer Stammlänge von lediglich 40 cm. Es ist frustrierend. Ich will einfach mittig entlang des Kerns auftrennen und jedesmal verzieht es trotz guter Spannung mir den Schnitt. Was mache ich falsch? Danke für eure Hilfe

I love watching your videos but please please please wear your safety glasses when using the equipment. I see your son wearing them but not you. I had a piece of metal get embedded in my cornea years ago and had to have it drilled out. It was very painful and after that driving at night was hard for me because the light refracted all over the place. I eventually had to have a cornea transplant. That was really painful. My company I worked at for 40 years really pushed safety. I am not picking on you, I just don't want to see you get hurt or worse.

даа это рак на ясене очень долго сушить надо , я такой хлам не беру хотя его есть ну очень много , вот 3 дня назад привёз 3 ствола с одного дерева , дуб 3,3 на 1,72 , 3,5 на 1,46 и 3,8 на 1,08 , буду на доску распускать , я делаю инженерную доску на платформу 3х слойку , так и никогда нет коробления и красиво , а ясень как то не люблю в работе он как говорится без души , дуб , вяз , клён , акация и орех , а ясень как то не очень , не ну на заказ то да делаю иногда , у меня дубовый кап есть он 2,2 длинна ну примерно 60 ширина при 45 толщине , лежит уже лет 5 на 55 распустить надо и в сушку кинуть , но как то не сильно я поклонник такого , хотя сушил людям , у меня вакуумная сушка есть она не коробит доску
