I cannot make myself leave ArcGIS Desktop and Arcscene, I suppose I will be forced soon. Although I've gotten really quite good using QGIS, but if I ever move back into a larger workplace I'll be forced back to ESRI

Only 2 years late here lol. How do you have a option for bivariate choropleth in the symbology tab? I only have graduated colors, graduated symbols, i classes colors, prop. Symbols, dot density and charts under the “symbolize your layer by quantity. Thanks!

check out this specific portion of the video, i think it addresses what you are looking for: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8WuEHBYq4oM.html

Funny story. I have been trying to make a bi variate choropleth map for days now in ArcGis Pro. But when I clicked on symbology, bivariate colors wasn't showing up in the drop down list. Then I started watching this and suddenly it was there! A few minutes later I was done with my map.

John, great video thank you. I am wanting to do a multivariable symbol for different race/ethnicity within census tracts. What was your offset setting for the radial array rings to get them proportionately spaced? Thanks

thanks Brad! it depends on the number of symbols that you want to offset radially. i forgot to show that part in the video, sorry. i intended to. you can find the x/y offsets i used for my symbols here: www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/analytics/analytics/happy-maps/

Awesome Video, loved the bar charts the most! This is becoming one of my favorite channels and my go to for when I need inspiration on my next map!

Hello John, where is the actual happiness data that you have used in the video. On the link in the description I can only seem to find the actual report itself.

I joined the table to a geographic point layer. you can find all the results here: nation.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=c018365caf3d47d8b41a7b9374c82499

Thank you! I love your knowledge and the joy you obviously find in maps. I have a lot to learn - including how to make a legend that neatly displays multivariate symbology when there are lots of layers involved.
