I've seen lines get smoked before, but nothing like this. A&T got straight assaulted from beginning to end lol. Gotta put this one up there with the '17 LDC block as a instant classic.
This drum line is absolutely unreal. I listen to this channel all the time when I'm working out and need an extra boost. This routine is one of the best yet! I'm literally getting teared up listening to it because it's so amazing.
MDFS is in my opinion the best i've ever seen. I felt i got gipped of some of their amazing performance by the camera switching. Please keep the camera front and center so us fans do not miss anything!
Bonafide agreed indeed! NSU Million Dollar Funk Squad = total musicianship, precise execution, immaculate phrasing, groove machine, phenomenal tuning, flawless stick & mallet heights. The D.C.I. groups won't dare challenge them because they can do ALL that the D.C.I "elitists" can do, BUT rhythmically stronger because the technical execution is the same while the grooves hit HARD!!
Nice editing...drum stick drop...but that's still the best show band line I have ever seen. Bottle that mojo and there will be a spike in births in Virginia.
I saw the whole thing. It was a tie until the end. That's when MDFU smoked A&T's drums. CS doesn't have enough technique to match up with MDFU. But, I was bored throughout with both until MDFU's performance at the end.
@@patriciabaker4192 I bet it was awesome to see live. But must've been More awesome to be in it. I agree but this is a softer/legal version of a massacre.
@@quadplyr13 yes it was awesome to see it live. The audience was litt. I was sitting on the floor with the band. You should check out the intro for both bands. NSU's intro brought the house down. So A&T was playing catch up from that point.
Awesome. Love the old school tuning. They sound like drums instead of cardboard boxes. One observation, though: When the tenors come downfield and put their drums on the stands, the stands are a bit too high, and they're missing their targets and catching rims. Either they need to keep their shoulders back and not hunch over, or they need to lower the stands a bit to compensate.
Richard Turner it was given back to him later during their percussion feature. Both were edited out on this video so no attention is drawn to him or the line as a whole.
I wish the legion would put as much of a recruiting effort into the band as they do the drum line. But when you have a drummer as the band director I guess this is the outcome. MD sounds and looks great. Meanwhile behold doesn’t even sound the same anymore. How’d you forget to recruit good trumpet players ?
I wish you knew what in the world you were talking about. You have no idea but MD never had to worry about recruiting and so his efforts is put towards wind instruments. For a band that's mostly freshmen I think they did a great job.
