@@ianthemechanical829 They are old, inefficient and ugly. New machines use way less water clean better and you don’t have to have 30 years worth of mildew and somebody else’s fabric softener smell. And you certainly don’t have a full remodel and keep all appliances. Let somebody else enjoy those machines and put them on craigslist :-)
@@chemundergradthe whole house was 100s of thousands. I think the people who helped her with the house is actually people she works with because she flips homes anyways so I think they discounted her or something. Or at least I think they did. Anyways, it doesn’t matter how much much they spent at their house their money they worked hard for it.😊
I absolutely adore the way you present! Your organizational designs are perfect and your entire house is immaculate. I hope to one day have a modern, sleek and organized design like you. Also, your other videos on real estate are extremely helpful for someone breaking into the biz. Thanks and keep em’ coming!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Jennifer! I'm so happy that you like my design :) I'll keep making videos and hope to bring more value to you. Let me know if there's a specific topic you'd like to see on my channel. ❤
I'm not sure how I missed this great video, over 3 years old. The house was initially an eye sore, but what a transformation. Love how you opened the walls. The kitchen and bathrooms are so improved, and absolutely worthy of people wishing they had something as exquisite. The theater room, with soundproofing, was a stroke of genius. From ugly duckling to an elegant swan, this home is wildly successful!
Your house is gorgeous Alisa ! Please do a whole house tour of the completely finished house including the exterior, movie theatre, garage etc haha, break down everything about the costs etc how you do on your other house flip videos ! I love these videos, keep 'em coming !
Putting in the whole wall of windows to look at the pool is amazing. It makes the area look so wonderful. The porcelain countertop is amazing because it looks like marble but marble stains so easily and is so fragile. Porcelain is so durable. I love the appliance garage. It keeps everything less cluttered as well as the hidden knife block. I love the before and after!
When you opened the door I immediately thought how horrible the layout was, and then it got worse when you entered the kitchen. The transformation is absolutely stunning, and I love the open format kitchen and living area. I could go on, but know that you did an amazing renovation on that property with so many updated elements. Excellent job! 🏆
The most extraordinary transformation. Such incredible work! I loved hearing your vision even before the transformation and then seeing it come to fruition in the most incredibly way.
Aww, Kathy, you are the sweetest! I really loved your transformation on your apartments too - so clean and inviting but economical at the same time. We’ll have to compare notes when we meet next time!!
@@TransformRealEstate so are you a designer, I wish you can help us, in a mont we are gonna Start our house renovation, but since is a old we need good advice wish you can help ??
Congrats to you both on the new house, Elisa! This must have been crazy to put all this together for both the construction and this video. I have a feeling HGTV will be calling you soon. 🙌🏼
Haha, thanks Cliff! It was quite a journey remodeling our own home. The video production took a while, but it was a fun process looking back at the footage from the beginning - we were like, ugh, the house was such a dump! LOL You are funny. I see that you and your family are enjoying RU-vid creator life too. It's awesome!
Beautiful. I always look forward to your designs. My niece bought a house in the Los Altos hills. They paid about 1.2 million for it and spent about that same amount remodeling it. Very similar to what you spent. But they hired a professional designer. You have that built-in with your talents. It's been probably about 5 or 6 years ago. I think it would sell for about 10 million now.
Thanks for sharing! We didn’t actually spend 1mm on the remodel, much less than that. But the home is purchased for well over 1mm. It sounds like your niece made a great investment! Bay Area homes have appreciated in value so much in the last 10 years!
I love the transformation. I just wished you called Habitats for Humanity to take your old kitchen. They would've helped you take it down and given it to someone in need. I really like the tiles you used in your bathroom and the porcelain island. It looks so much like quartz but probably saved you more. ♡
Thanks! Oh, I didn't know they offer that service! I'm glad you liked the tiles and the countertops. Porcelain actually looks much more like marble than quartz, and it costs more too. You may have to see it in person to realize.
That door! Wow! You brought so much new life into the home. That appliance garage is so cute too, going to have to consider those in our future flips. Great work, we love love love it!
Aww, thanks so much! Yeah, I couldn't believe how much of a dump the house was when I was watching the footage from Before lol. The appliance garage and pantry are awesome, but the cabinets are so expensive, not sure they would make sense on a flip ;)
I really love your videos. Unlike other house flippers who talk to much and waste time bouncing ideas and disagreeing with each other, you get right to the point. I love the before and after style.
Awww, thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that! It was a lot of hard work to come up with the design because I don't have any background in interior design, but I loved seeing the end results :)
Love your videos. Especially this more than the others as it show’s various renovations jobs completed with time stamps which is very useful for new flipper.
Congratulations on your new home! You are an inspiration for women in the house flipping industry... Amazing thank you for sharing this part of ypur life.
i absolutely loved this video! looking at the before and after and seeing the changes is really exciting! The finishing you chose were also very pretty and fitted really well with the whole style of the house! I have to say, the kitchen and garage are my favourite!
I know this is an older video, but this house is huge and your ideas for it turned out beautifully! The theater and master bedroom with bath and closet is so beautiful!!
Wow! Stunning home! I really love all the details...even simply having a knife drawers so that unsightly knife block is out of sight...to your pantry! OMG dream kitchen! Also, I am certain my husband would one day want a garage workshop such as yours. You have a great eye for design!
Thanks so much Sonja for appreciating the details! We went all out on our cabinets and got almost all the features they offer lol. Garage workshop is probably useful if your husband is handy and loves tools. It can also keep him occupied while shelter at home 😂
Elisa, this is fabulous. Congrats to you both on this project. I work with your husband, and am also a home theater nut. So envious of the HT and garage! You make great videos! I'm going to share with my wife who loves this stuff, even though we just finished our expansion/remodel.
Omg I ❤️ your house. You did such a great job transforming your house. You're definitely an inspiration. 👌👍 Can't wait to start my journey too as a house flipper. 😁 Thank you for all your videos. It has given me alot of important information and ideas to become a house flipper. 👍🥰
Thank you so much! The big garage was pretty much the reason we decided to buy the house in the first place, cuz hubby always wanted more garage and a home theater. I'm so glad you liked the design!
I watched a previous video of a remodel of a single story 1400 square foot 4 bed 2.5 bath home. Almost the same as the one I just bought in Texas except mine has 200 more square footage for 199k. Then she dropped the price tag of 1.3 million for the home and I proceeded to spit out my coffee.
@@Eric_In_SF that's entirely subjective depending on who you ask. The ridiculous prices in San Francisco has a lot more to do with state taxes, economy, and wages than it does desirability.
This is incredible transformation! Great job!!!! You really have great vision on how things should be done and the execution is fabulous, awesome!!! Wish you are in Socal so when we remodel the house you can help!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It took many revisions to get to where it is actually 😅 I’d still love to help! You can send me some pictures/videos and I’ll give you some ideas 😊
I love it , esp the garage and how everything was beautifully organized, and also all the space saving gadgets you used ..would love for u to transform my moms home
So this is your home?!?! Wow.. Congratulations!! What an absolute dream home! You deserve it.. So many nice features.. I love the appliance garage & pantry in the kitchen. And that Master Bath will put a lot of 5-star hotels to shame! And that workshop is fit for a pro!! Looking forward to the finished Theater.. ❤️
Beautiful! Do yo live there now? I really liked how well kept the home was. The people who lived there before loved their home! That’s nice. But it turned out soooo amazing!
the whole idea behind "garage" in the kitchen is that u dont have to move appliances stored in it: they slide out to the open counterspace to be used and then slide back in. u guys totally missed that. its a nice remodel and that garage is insane.
That's not true. An appliance garage is meant to streamline appliance storage space to make the kitchen have a clean look, not to have appliances roll out for easy use.
woow I really like this renovation looks amazing, I wish you can help us, me and my wife just bought a house and we are getting ready to do a renovation, is small one, but it looks nice but definitely it needs a kitchen and bathrooms remodeling, love how you design every little detail. and also but I wonder much you invest on that.
WOW that's incredible. RU-vid recommended your channel to me yesterday and I've basically been binge watching your videos haha. Your kitchen is incredible!! That's definitely the dream kitchen :D I was wondering where you find your contractors from? Looks like you use the same team each time and they do great work. I think the scariest part about house reno's/house flipping is finding trustworthy contractors.
Thank you! You are right- good contractors are hard to come by. I made this video about finding contractors: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cf_WUTiSO_o.html
you read my mind with the custom hamper cabinet! I need one of those I keep throwing my clothes on the floor before I shower. The hamper matching cabinet door would be so cool!
I think I am most jealous over the garage, just wow. Now that is what a workshop should be. I truly loved the entire house remodel. We are getting ready to buy our future fixer upper in myrtle beach.
I typed in "2021 home decorating trends" in my search engine (Duck, Duck, Go--not Google) and what I found was very surprising. It said that open floor plans are on their way out because people have found with COVID lockdowns that they need some privacy from the other members of their households. New homes are being built with discreet rooms again. This doesn't mean you have to be a slave to the latest home trends, but it is something to consider when remodeling your house.
Open plan (especially kitchens!) were well and truly on the way out before COVID. It's not a fad though, it's a return to normal. Open plan kitchens were the fad! Can't happen soon enough, IMO.
@@bevcrusher4177 My thought is always, "Who wants to see a refrigerator or dirty dishes from the front door?" Unless you're a spotless homemaker it'd be pretty stressful to always have to worry about someone dropping over and seeing your mess.
@@happydays1336 It's definitely that, but also the fact that people are returning to home cooking, and also taking cooking more seriously. When you take cooking seriously, it's literally a "high pressure job", requiring focus and no interruptions. Your kitchen is your office. Imagine if someone working a high pressure office job, had people sitting on the other side of the desk watching them work, and "chatting". Nightmare!
@@bevcrusher4177 I never thought of a kitchen being a home office. That's a very profound way to describe a serious cook who needs a bit of solitude to create wonderful meals. Thanks for that insight.
That is one amazing transformation!!! Did you already mapped out and have blueprint of what the house should look like and the materials required prior to getting contractors to come and provide their bids? looking forward to your next video.
Thank you so much! I usually take my GC with me when seeing houses for the first time as he gives me ideas too. It was a little complicated on this one because it's our home and we wanted many things, so hubby and I worked on the floor plan for weeks before finalizing it.
Love the transformation you did to your home! Some of your tips have inspired me! Can you share more tips on the whole renovations process? I’m about to renovate our home and wants to learn more. Thanks!

Lisa, you are my inspiration. I have watched every single one of your video and I love your content SO MUCH. You made me feel that the life I dreamed of isn't far away and thank you so so much for sharing your experience online. I am also in the bay area and hopefully I get to know you one day.
This is such a beautiful modern house! What an amazing remodeling job you did! I would love to know where you got the kitchen cabinets or all the resources about the materials you used in this house. Thank you so much!
You kind of have to watch a bunch of her other videos. Also search RU-vid for her name because there’s other people she does videos with where she explains a lot of where she gets her stuff. Bathroom stuff she usually gets at Home Depot, lamps plus, and a couple local cabinet makers and granite suppliers.
