Man, the people they have on the show nowadays have absolutely no guts. Since they've introduced the clock format in the U.K. no one has won more than 75k even though the money tree makes it ridiculously easy to win 150k. In fact, despite the harder questions and lesser money available, they're giving away more nowadays on the U.S. version per hour than this version because they have contestants who are willing to take risks.
Take no risks? That bloke just lost 9 grand on an idiotic play. Besides, the questions are not harder on the US show. A lot of these are not general knowledge- you either know them or you don't
