Millions of Facebook users, who used the platform in the last 15 years, qualify to get a piece of the $725 million payout after the site’s parent company Meta settled a class action lawsuit which alleged the company made data available to third parties without users' consent. NBC News’ George Solis explains.

Ironic. In order to get the privacy settlement payout you need to submit a bunch of private info to verify your identity, which also goes through 3rd parties for verification & processing. Not to mention an individual is going to receive something like less than $5.

Yep. Z has done so much spellwork on people across the world to join that app. I left that app years ago, because I am not a puppet. It was too much negativity being displayed. I'm glad I made the decision to leave.

@@brianseo477 there won't be any unclaimed money. The company settled for 750 million. That's how much they will pay. That 750 million (less lawyers fees) will be divided among the number of users who file a claim. The more the claims the less the amount each claimant gets. So it doesn't matter if you file/not file. They pay the same amount.

Anyone receive their monies from the suit yet? Please post when you do and how much you got. I filed and was a user the entire duration so I'm curious how others faired. I'm just curious as to how accurate whoever is in charge of the payouts is being as there's no way to check who is doing the divying up of the monies.

did u receive at least a confirmation of validation???? how do u know if your account and info submitted by you was actually validated. From my understanding, ACCOUNTS that were validated received a confirmation email. did you try to track down the status of your claim?? if so, or if you have any updates let us know.

They are very Picky when It comes to personal info. If for any reason they suspect is not a valid account , this Will be flagged as potentially fraude.
