This is my cover of the iconic "Magical Place" Toys 'R' Us advert, made as a tribute to my favourite toy shop which closed its final UK branches yesterday.
RIP Toys 'R' Us, you have been a massive part of my life for over 25 years. I can't believe I will never walk around your aisles and see your millions of toys again, but rest assured, you will never be forgotten.
"There was a magical place,
Where fun filled the air.
With toys in their millions all under one roof.
It was Toys 'R' Us!
Our hearts are breaking this sad April day,
The shelves are all empty and Geoffrey can't stay.
Books, board games, bikes for sale no more.
No space ships and trikes, they've closed all the stores!
There's millions of memories all under one roof.
We'll never forget Toys 'R' Us! Toys 'R' Us!"
This goes without saying, but the music, animation and Toys 'R' Us and Geoffrey names obviously belong to their respective owners. I only own my voice and photos of Brent Cross Toys 'R' Us.

So sad that Toy's R US have gone in the UK :( it was the only store you could go into as a child and treat it like the best day of your life the sorta place you dreamed of working at as a kid. Such a shame your be greatly missed at least il still have the memory of a legend to pass on through time. ♥

some of my best childhood memories was going christmas shopping on christmas eve to toys r us. i would go around with my mom and dad and point out things i wanted, then i would have to go and wait in the car while they pick some of the things i had chosen. the suspense would nearly kill me till the next morning. rip toys r us

Good news Toys R Us is back In the UK but only on Online but there plans to open some Toys R Us locations in the UK

I remember going to Toys 'R' Us for my 7th birthday. I didn't want any toys that were there. Just 2 VHS tapes and some Fireman Sam fridge magnets lol

It’s sad to see toys R us go. I feel quite anxious because it’s gone. But I have to say they did have a good selection of toys. I love the photo of you had the garaffe tho at the end of the video so good.

in Croydon there is a tiny toy shop wich is called toy barnhaus and I go there now but its not as good. so as hamleys in London, good, but not the best. this year I was gonna go to it around my b day. NOW NO CHANCE ;(

The other toy shops are so expensive in comparison. Even The Entertainer has crazily high prices. (Which is why I don't understand people saying that Toys R Us was overpriced). I miss Toys R Us. I wanted to go there on my birthday too but it closed down three weeks before. :(

The last UK branches closed on April 24th, the last American branches closed at the end of June. I think Australia's closure was announced a week or two after that but don't know when the last branch actually closed.
