Hearing track 3 for the last time will go down as one of the most emotional moments ever.

Rest in Peace to Weatherscan. Golly, i miss this wonderful channel i grew up with during 2006/2007. I'm so grateful for this channel especially those relaxing music does help me stop being scared sleep in my room by myself when i was young kid during the time of 2006.

I'm pretty sure they put track 33 as the final song before closing on purpose. This song is like neat little sendoff to weatherscan in general as the service becomes something of the past.

Track 6 was my favorite one.. and yet so sad to hear it the last time. I can't believe it's been over a year. Rest in Peace WeatherScan.

I'm surprised Mediacom didn't even put a title slide screen mentioning the shutdown of Weatherscan at the exact moment of shutdown (1:59:46) and instead, the screen ended up freezing at shutdown. I'm also surpised they didn't do the final power off of the unit at the top of the hour. Sad to see it go.

It was a little abrupt but they did wait until the final song was played to shut down the unit. Weatherscan is now up in the clouds. This reminds me of what happened back in 2011 during Japan’s digital switchover…

I need therapy i think... how am I getting emotional over this? My mom put this channel on ALL THE TIME. When I was in preschool, I remember this being on the TV before my mom would get ready to walk me to school she would sit and watch the weather and just be present with it and I would too. I remember being almost 9ish there was a summer thunderstorm and this was playing (we were watching the storm tracker). Just this music owning the moment and we got to be a part of it. Mom is still with me she not dead lmaooo just crazy to think of a time lost only surviving through memory. Boy I wish my whole life could've been in the the late 2000s early 2010s, those were the best years.

It really sucked when Xfinity Cable told us we would lose our WeatherScan channel. I miss it alot because I liked the music background, plus I didn't have to hear all the talk from the meteorologists. I liked the Weather Channel the best in the 80s and 90s. Everything and everyone good they dropped. I'm surprised they still have Jim Cantore with them.

Goodbye Weatherscan.... I really enjoyed watching it on Xfinity until they pulled it in 2017.... Gone but not forgotten!
