Guts and spirit with a resolute defence is the starting point that was needed. Now Harris has instilled this, we now need to look at getting on the front foot. Winning breeds confidence, so at some point in the next 2 or 3 games, I am expecting a bit more on the attacking front. Win tomorrow, which is, again, a massive game, then the confidence should be sky high. It's worth noting though, we don't know what this team under Harris is capable of when going behind. Personally, I don't want to know, but I'm pretty sure we're soon gonna find out. Quality analysis again chapz. 💙🦁
Guys let’s have it right, Harris was sacked because at the time we were all fed up with him playing in exactly this way and when he left we were struggling because we couldn’t score goals, and this last 2 games is no different to the way we were playing then.
@@glynh5480 as good as, put it this way he’d come to the end sacked or not, and that was mainly down to the set up of the team and the way we were playing, most supporters had had enough.
Agreed but right now it's horses for courses to keep us up. A real shame the timing for Edwards was wrong, which in a way I blame players and timing... If was end of season with a summer and budget would be different I'm sure
Chris do you think we can carry on playing this way and keep getting results, surely at some point we have to show some attacking intent, what happens if we go behind in a game.
Couldn't agree more, all of our goals under Harris have been set pieces, 2 of which were very fortunate (tanganga and Flemming's goal this weekend). Long may it continue but I don't have much faith.
A great review chaps. I agree we can’t continue to just pin our survival on pure guts and fight. Saturdays performance should and would have suited the game at Blackburn better. We have to have more of the ball and create chances at home whilst staying stalwart at the back. I personally would have had Honeyman and DeNorre playing Saturday instead of Billy and Savs, preferring to save them for Blackburn. I would have Bryan and Norton-Cuffy playing wide midfield with Flemming and Abofemi playing up top in a 10 and CF. Look I love Sav’s and Mitchell but they create nothing but give everything. We should be setting to get draws or the odd win away with the focus on destroying teams at home. IMO if Harris keeps us up he will be off after May with legendary status firmly cemented. If we get relegated he will remain. If he keeps us up he walks away with his head high, a decent pay out and I would expect many a league one club after his signature. Yes it is a dogfight but we must have more about us than just blood and guts football.
First time I have watched one of your videos and this channel. Thought using the forensic evidence (stats) is an excellent method of demonstrating and analysing performance’s.
I must admit I’m total Harris - he has done what a good manager has always done ….. built from the defence - so defensively I think he is getting there - I thought from Southampton I thought we need to develop an attacking strategy- we could have really done with Warnock helping Harris - but I think our attacking strategy will be EMU - Emarku will hopefully form our attacking style 👍
Honeyman has been consistent, in his performances, he plays for the shirt, can't ask for anymore than what we,ve got of late 6 points. Great stats Chris, I can see you,ve been busy well done COYL
Problem with us is our attacking threat is pretty weak,if we don’t score first and Blackburn who do have that threat,we may get found out as we have to come out rather than defend a goal which we’ve done well in last two games, hope I’m wrong but I fancy a 2-0 Blackburn win.
Need to be more composed when on the ball. We know the guys can play so got to be braver in order to create more. Happy with our defensive display but as you say we need to start asking questions the other way. Good analysis and hopefully we come away with something Tuesday
