aaah shit the feeling when you "discover" a new band and their music is exactly what you love about music and all your problems seem to go away for a while fucking delicious
They are SO MUCH BETTER LIVE. Like they will BLOW YOU AWAY. So much energy and passion and SO SO SO much talent. They constantly switched instruments with each other while on stage, and every single one of them sang. They're like 20 people in 5, lol. And they're all super super nice. They all signed every single EP they sold at the show WHILE you bought it, lol. Can't wait until their complete album comes out!
"the scent you wear moves in lines from your apartment into mine you act like you don't know me my god you tempt my anxious mind Would it be much better if I knew nothing about you" there's a rush of urgency in the music that could be overwhelming but the melancholy evoked by the ambiance and the lyrics allow me to feel relaxed--at ease
Probably their best live performance of 1957. When you are using complex harmonies it is vital that the sound be balanced, and in other shows I noticed the sound systems didn't always accomplish this goal. This is balanced and it is beautiful.
Only one more time? I can't go a day without listening to this. I exaggerate, but I am in love with this song and the band. Each voice is so distinct and lovely!
LOL I cant believe I've been listening to this song for over four years now, it still gives me that tingly feeling, too. I had the best indie music playlists in high school, I miss them lol
2010-2013 was (in hindsight) such a great era for this sort of music, it's a shame that it coincided with my edgy teenager years when I only listened to metalcore and screamo and couldn't also appreciate things like this
Saw them open up for Civil Wars in DC Monday night and they were absolutely phenomenal. Got a complete standing ovation from the crowd too. One of the best bands I've discovered in awhile
I caught them last night in Columbus opening for The Civil Wars and they were awesome. They were incredible live! Picked up their CD which only had 3 tracks. The songs are great but I really wanted to hear more. I will be waiting for their future releases.
+DaddyChan Sometimes musicians do that because the original song was recorded with guitars tuned differently than standard or using capos, but to do that live would pull the guitar out of tune. Sometimes it just makes it easier to sing.
