New escalades are well over 100k.... 240k isnt unreasonable for the amount of work and exclusivity you get relatively speaking. 1000ftlb torque is awesome.

I was just wondering with the way (3 years ago) the industry was going if these guys had plans to be able to swap in an electric drive train. Right now, there are lots of companies offering ev swaps for classics like 40-60 series Landcruisers and there's actually a guy on youtube that is building an electric h1.

@@timsgta it means if you think that the price of this truck is completely over the top, you likely can't afford to live here. Secondary, a bone stock H1 is over half this price to begin with.
I purchased mine from Plan B. These" boutique BS" are full of crap and a ripoff. 240k?????? WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plan B guys are honest and they offer several options to customize a H1 or a Humvee. I got several upgrades and stayed very close to 100k, even with a Duramax upgrade. They have several packages and goes from very reasonable to a complete military grade vehicle. I don't get paid by Plan B, I am just a VERY happy costumer.
A duramax swap in an H1 is $40k (which includes the donor engine). Probably more in an M998 due to the fact that its a 24V electrical system and needs a lot more refitting to get it all crammed in there. New doghouse, new cooling system, driveline components, upgraded gear reduction hubs, brakes - I mean, if you wanted to do this yourself, just go get a salvaged M998 that has a decent frame and body then go to town. Thats about all that is used in this restomod from milspec. Good luck getting a road legal title for your military surplus humvee - not all states are allowing them to be titled for public roads. Hummers are "like nothing else" in every regard. They aren't mechanically complicated but because they are heavy (they're no wider than an F150 with its mirrors btw) and unique, they command a premium on their prices.

@@landman2001ower Wagons end up the same price and also need the power train upgrades. Little advantage on the width of the hummer for crawling.. I'd take one of either or both.
What A/C🤣🤣🤣. Every military hummer i ever drove never had A/C to upgrade in the first place. Still a hell of a lot nicer than the ones I drove in the Army.

This interior is a dramatic fail. The roof should have been raised, and the interior should have actually been designed, instead of newly covered. The cost here outweighs the product.
240k?? This is a rip off at its finest! With that money you can buy 3 brand new diesel trucks. Chevy 2500 duramax, Ford f250 powerstroke and ram 2500 Cummins. All new 2020 trucks
For the market this is aimed at 240k is nothing. 2006 alphas go for 200k already, and this is better! It's not just the arabs and the russian who will buy them, there'll be plenty of buyers in the domestic market as well.

So, You "fixed, or upgraded" all the "weak" points in that vehicle... odd, they all said GM on them... The body was built by AM General, all the running gear is imported,(and speaks German)... the problem in that vehicle, wears a BOW TIE!
