Nice tool. The cordless 18V air compressor is going to solve a bunch of problems, so I am staying with pneumatic tools just because air am invested in them. What I REALLY NEED IS AN 18V ROOF COIL NAILER. Thanks for the video Vince !!!!!

I miss when tools came with quality cases. The old school DeWalt XR and XRP cases were the best cases of any brand. Hilti used to do the same cases up until a couple years ago.
@jwar2163
@jwar2163 3 года назад
If you received a case with every tool then you would not be inclined to purchase the roll a way pack out or any of the pack out box kits or storage systems. Plus the cost of providing a case for every tool sold raises the cost of the product. I have a case for my drill and impact driver. it collects dust in my attic as my hammer drill and impact sit in a pack out with several other Milwaukee tools along with various pry bars and hand tools. I will add that my m12 multi drill came with a soft case and I am not thrilled about that but it works.

When I put a few of these together for my studio, I framed around dense rockwool insulation and covered it all up with some of the thinnest fabric that I could find in a roll. Carpet isn’t necessary unless you don’t have anything on the inside to absorb the sound. You want to absorb the sound, not reflect it.

The square egg cartons that holds 18 eggs are great sound dampening material, you could get those for free from most restaurants.
@mrfender5001
@mrfender5001 4 года назад
Im an audio engineer and I'll tell you first hand that Ive tried all types of egg cartons for sound proofing. Its by far the worst to use! My ear could tell big time and I used a decibel meter to find out the best. Egg was the worst, stacked towels stapled in a frame hung on the wall worked better than industrial rated acoustic treatment. Any other sound engineer will tell you egg cartons dont work.

For on wall treatments make an open sided box i do 2x4 ft 2 or 3 in thick. Fill them with Rockwool and wrap the open side with velvet. Any material you can easily breath through with it tight over your mouth is a good measure of its acoustic transparency. I have made tons of these for home theaters and they work great.

Just from what I know about sheetrocking sound proof walls.. a air gap is what helps take most of the recoil.. so I would figure out something that almost sways differently from that wall almost making that gap and so the panel will soak up much of the vibrations (I think it's called z canal.. you're supposed put a first layer of sheettock and install the z canal over that and then sheetrock to the canal and then finish the sheetrock - roxul always helps)
