In my experience they never have the best performance, but last a long time even in industrial setting

I fix a fair bit of milwaukee gear for work and those gen 1 impact wrenchs I often just replaced the trigger and they worked again. That was either making 1 out of 2 or buying the trigger from China though.

nah. Had the NA version in 1/2" drive (2763) and the electronics assembly is like $180.
