I never liked Pre Parties until I saw Mimicat perform In Barcelona and Madrid. She has the most complete package: voice, stage presence, interpretation and song. The ability to recreate vocally reminds me of Salvador Sobral, the style is different but the jazz school and perfectionism are the same!

I think that's an improvement compared to other years.

Don't necessary love the Portuguese contestants every year although they always try to give us something special, but this is a real masterpiece, a cabaret, a show. Great voice also and I love the language. Top 10, maybe even top 5 for me.

In 2021 I was not a big fan of the song, except arrived in May, where even if I was not "a big fan", I found the overall result really good! In 2022 I was a fan of musical beauty, but it was not a title that I liked very much either. But on the other hand this year, I really like this cabaret atmosphere! It changes from what any country has been able to send in recent years! So thank you for having voted for her, and for having participated in the stress of many when only she and her opponent remained at 12 points thanks to the jury, when the 10 point of the public was announced. And yeah, the vibes on "Ai Coração" are awesome. Like i've said, i never liked any song we've sent as much as this one. However, i'm so scared for May cause semi1 is a literal bloodbath and I'm preparing myself to lose some favorites. Marisa (real name of mimicat) said she wants to amplify the cabaret vibes for eurovision and will work very hard but it still scares me. I really want us to do well cause it's the first time we send an artist that wasn't invited for FDC and submitted her song instead.

And I'd agree, semi1 for me is strong but not necessarily cause of the songs people mention. Israel for me, for example, is super overated. I think the betting ODDS are underestimating this entry; this is such a contagious tune no one will be indifferent to her song; they'll clap and dance along. They are bringing Lady Marmalade vibes, but with traditional Portuguese sounds here and there, it's brilliant! Even though this is a much more difficult semi compared to Semi 2, Mimicat is a great performer; she and her team will create a fantastic atmosphere on the Eurovision stage; they must because, let's face it, this is a TV show produced for TV audiences, and the visual spectacle will be essential! I can't wait to see them live in MAY!

this music is more complex than you think. The mix of different sounds and styles crosses borders and cultures. There is portugal, spain, france, romanesque, balkans, cabarett, burlesque, but well mixed without looking like it's made with a hammer. and mimicat has a charisma..
