tistina is objectively worse but tistina is bad in confusing and annoying ways that genuinely make you think the ones that designed it were *trying* to make it bad. harder to forget. Ashened is just mid i for one would never forget
I mean it still has the bounce with throne and the book of moon with the trap, plus the deck can easily end on link2s like ip, sp or silhouhatte. I don't think it's as bad as people think, also I think that the decks that will be able to play impulse won't be many
If anyone's playing and wants to use maker as an actual one card combo reveal archfiend and dragon. If you get dragon to your hand summon it, add dungeon, add archfiend use archfiend to flip and get the archfiend from oppo side of the field. Make throne to get master, master to get fairy and overlay the other two mimighouls for giant to get room. Otherwise if you set dragon you can summon archfiend, get back dragon, make giant, search dungeon, search dragon with dungeon, summon dragon and search room, then you can make a link 2 of your choice (either silhouhatte or i:p works). Slime+archfiend is just wayy too much of a risk if you don't have extenders imo
You can even do better in the chance you get archfiend. Instead of going for gigant you can go for throne, throne for master, master add dragon, normal dragon add fieldspell, fieldspell for Fairy, fairy special, overlay fairy and dragon for gigant, gigant add room.
no talent or thrust is kinda crazy to me, but go off peeps also, he went this WHOLE video without talking about the biggest boogeyman the deck has: Droplet
same for me, i use 2x of both instead of bystial put instant fusion as thrust target and go master of ham and Guardian dog before was hard to summon master for flipping guardian dog but now is GG with this second wave
18:18 Actually, ROTA's Dominus Impulse is the one that locks you out of Earth effects (and Light/Wind). Purge just locks you out of Dark, Water, and Fire effects. Still Diabellstar to worry about though.
@@Alex-Omega what ryzeol? my goblins eat every xyz deck ryzeol are no exception come after they get released, you will be like these are my monsters, i will be like you mean our monsters xDDDDD
@@geokapsaskis4159 i have a build set up with goblink bikers, phantom knights, and burning abyss. I end turn 1 by making rusty bardiche, F0 draco, armored xyz package, gabonga or i:p, 2 fog blades and usually a hand trap or 2. Then I:P lets me unicorn or S:P, if unicorn, maybe a farfa too, and the armored xyz trap into break sword makes rusty pop another card, and the trap lets the rank 7 armored xyz attach a monster to it as material. Basically if i get full combo, i get 6 or 7 negates / interrupts. Its crazy consistent and can run a turn 1 hand rip with sky courge norleras being searchable with a tourguide (less consistent)
Mad that *this* is the TCG archetype they randomly decided "Okay, this time we'll make sure the 2nd wave improves the deck dramatically and not merely incrementally or, god forbid, worse".
yeah I have the same feeling, Tistina was bad, Ashened was worse and suddenly they get the good cards. I hope the support for Ashened and Tistina in SUDA will at least be good.
@@darkolos5836 tistina was definitely worse. it was a broken deck that almost never functioned. at least ashened had a cohesive game plan, it just wasn't a very good one
How is Slime's condition of controlling less monsters difficult on turn one, in an archetype where 5 out of 6 main deck monsters set themselves to the opponent's field? The condition is literally have any other level one Mimighoul in hand.
6 out of 7, but I understand forgetting about Cerberus. Slime's not difficult, but it is the trickiest of the 3. there's just not many good points in this deck where you've set more monsters to the opponent's field than you already have.
funny thing: Since Giant can destroy your own cards, you can effectively decide to shut off any floodgate cards you run by destroying them like how Snake-Eyes and White Forest does with Skill Drain
Kinda true, diabellstar and white forest are even better because they send for cost, so cards that negate effects like skill drain could still be able to turn off by those decks. Still it's something to definetely consider
Happy to help with the list and explaining the choices. I'm so thankful that, finally, they have made a deck that FEELS like it belongs in the modern metagame. Even after this list, I'm figuring out new things, new builds, new lines, new ratios. The fact that this deck has edges that can be sanded off and things to be optimized speaks volumes about its playability. I can't wait to see you all at more events. You can catch me GHOULING.
Hot takes: You don't need that many bystials; mag and druis is enough. I think magicians souls has a home in the deck; being able to send spare forks and being a level 1 extender while sending dead shifters is kinda sick. Sneyes may also be worth it. I think the slime is worth it at 2.
The fact that they randomly gave Mimighoul Xyz monsters and an Extra Deck rip on top of having Flip Monsters - really makes me think that this archetype was at least partially inspired by Flip's duel against Yuma in early Zexal. 🤔
I don't really think it was all that random, considering the only one that wasn't Level 1 was the monster you were supposed to keep on the field in the first wave. Honestly I would argue it's more random that Snake Eyes were never given a Rank 1.
There's just no way you said Maker is good now because of Slime lol. Maker is good because of Giant and you always reveal Dragon + Archfiend which guarantees a board of Throne + Dungeon + Room. Oh man I finished the video and he even keeps sticking to this just wrong line of play. I know youre not gonna see this but MBT PLEASE you gotta learn the basic combos before you do a video. Maker reveal Archfiend + Dragon. If you get Archfiend you flip the Dragon and use them to make Throne. Throne summon Master to add Dragon. Normal Dragon to add Dungeon which adds Fairy. Fairy + Dragon for Giant to search room. If you get Dragon then it adds Dungeon and Dungeon adds Archfiend. Normal Archfiend to flip your Archfiend. Archfiends to make Throne. Throne summon Master who adds Fairy. Fairy + Dragon to make Giant and add Room. The baseline is Throne + Room + Dungeon with any extender adding Little Knight or Silhouhatte to that base. Slime is only ever good if you have multi-card combos. You gotta stop revealing Slime off Maker as your play starter.
if you play cerberus x1 its protect your spell from targeting and mimighoul charm is a must x1 if you have nothing to search and why not having x2 TTT and Thrust is so chease for this deck my version has instant fusion with master of ham for Guard dog thats with Master is GG
I know it isn't "good" but isn't Slime's condition very doable? Doesn't handing your opponent a face down monster not count as them having more monsters?
It _is_ doable, but there's rarely a good position where you want to use a slime as an extender like that. Of the 3 new ones, Slime is the only one that can't be SS'd to your field by its effect after resolving Maker, so you need another mimic in hand to summon it
@@__-be1gk it wasn't like this before. Before it was never necessary to have your deck be half handtraps it was just an option you had with most people going for a more sane 6 or 9, or none at all in favor of a board breaking approach
You know, Mimighoul Dogmatika doesn't sound too bad, they setup the full effect of Dogmatikamatrix and Charm is yet another way to chip away at your opponents ED... Hmm...
Wow good support for a TCG exclusive archetype! I guess this means that Konami is going to make good libromancer support right! Konami is going to support libromancer right?
Dude I was so not ready to see Adamancipator cards in the opponent's hand Blocky boy I miss you so D: Also just FTKing them by flipping Analyzer was mean.
4:12 "Your opponent has to control more monsters than you which going first is impossible" ... In the deck where every card can give itself to the opponent, making them control a monster?
So from what I hear, it's actually the OCG more at fault for TCG-exclusives being the way they usually are. Either way...Whomever makes the final call, more stuff like this and less...Tistina. Also, The fact that the TCG archetype with the most potential in awhile is a flip archetype has to be some sort of absurdist comedy.
Gold Pride Mentioned!!!!! I know this is mimighoul video but it truly feels like people forgot that gold pride had a seriously good second wave too and was like only a year ago
This was too dry, hard to follow and technical for me. But that's probably on me because I'm new and am still playing around in the MD solo mode kiddy pool. Cool sounding deck concept and art!
I'll mantain my hate against Trollnami until Tistina gets support to make it playable and... good (not competitive i know it's impossible), and it's funny that the archetype that i didn't like was the first with 2nd "ok" wave.... nice for the mimighoul players PD: i'll wait to for lady of lament support
Ayo Slime needs more love. The deck supplies you with the ability to special him immediately. Even in a hand where you draw 2 slime you can special summon slime by giving your opponent a monster, now they have more and you special summon slime. Then follow up with the rest of your Plays.
I’ve never played physical. Duel links and master duel, I love toons even though they are week and try to find ways to keep them going. But! This archetype has a great style like toons and a fun and interesting play style that makes me actually wanna buy and play these cards. It makes me wanna learn combos as a lesser combo player.
She is charming themed, body curving wide hips yet compensating ripple dress for probably being flat. She gives me a similar vibe to 20s something anime receptionist but in monster form. If you think it reps younger, I get how but my lost deep in the anime sauce instinct says 20+
MBT be like "The Dungeon lockj is strong, most decks dont have an out for that". just flip the monsters Bro... its even worse when you have Droplet on hand and tribute their monstrs for it
Yugioh has an issue the refusal to admit cards are an issue if you must play them. Let's say I flip a floodgate and win for months you'd be complaining wanting it banned but you see no issue with nibiru on a combo deck, droll on a search deck, ash, veiler, impermanence on decks with limited starters. In every example here there all auto wins
