Mina's Gone and We've Closed Our Restaurant 

The love and emotion in these comments is overwhelming, and both Neenee and myself would like to thank you for all your kind words and support. As I said in the video, we don't know what is around the corner and I'm sure this is not the end of it, but that doesn't make it any easier right now. There are still avenues we are exploring to get this sorted and see that Mina is properly taken care of, and we will continue to keep you guys in the loop with how things progress. We really do appreciate your thoughts and ideas on how we could possibly move forward in being reunited with her, but please bear in mind, no matter how much it may seem like and easy solution, offering money can not be considered. What is the message that is sending..? It may encourage others to try and appropriate money from those who are only trying to help others in the future. Also it may seed the idea to some poor that they can get easy money for their children. Lastly.. is it legal? Can this not be classed as a form of human trafficking? Without a doubt I know those who suggest this do not mean any harm in it, only good, wanting to see Mina happy, but it is not an option, legally or ethically. As a lot of you have said, I am sure this will work itself out in the not too distant future. We are blown away by all the love and support and how emotionally attached ALL OF US have become over such a little adorable unit. I can only wonder what her thoughts at these comments will be when she reads them in the future. Thank you all for the love and comments. 💚

I have no problem saying as a 54 year old man I cried through the whole ending part of this video with Mina highlights. Everytime I saw your videos with her it made me constantly smile rhe whole video. Thanks for sharing and I will pray you all are able bring her home one day where she can get the life that all children should have.

Mina was pulling my heart strings. So i can only imagine all the love you guys have for her. She is a total joy. She is a game changer. A little rock star, With lots of charisma. Hang in there brother. God has a funny way of working things out.

OMG! I couldn’t stop crying. If only Mina knew how much she is loved by all of us. I know you had to do what had to be done. It’s not over, yet. Mina will always be in my heart next to my late wife. We all pray this will resolve itself for the best and Mina is reunited with the right people. It’s her destiny. Although it’s wrong to meddle in family matters, but sometimes intervention needs to right the wrong. The restaurant business is tough even in the best of times. I don’t really know why anyone would want to get into it myself. I think the part of just letting that go is probably a blessing for you two in the long run. As for Mina, that really sucks. What a little angel she is. It’s sad that some parents will prioritize personal beefs with one another over the future of their kids but you’re right. Unfortunately it happens all the time and all you can do is continue to do the best you can to help her under the circumstances.

Thanks for being so candid Todd, in what was a very difficult video to make. Clearly you and NeeNee did your absolute best but circumstances have got in the way for now... but hopefully things will change in the future. In the relatively short time Mina was with you, you’ve really opened her eyes to so many new, exciting and interesting things that will have such a positive bearing on her as she grows up, and for that I hugely applaud you both. Mina is a real character and has rewarded you with her love and captivating presence - this is something that cannot be taken away and you’ve hours of great video to look back on. It will work out mate, my wife and me visited Lao in June and July. We wanted to come and see you guys, sadly my Jan had a fall and did her back in . So basically she was laid up for the whole month, people were amazing looked after us both. I had lots Lao beer, and to help get rid of the pain so did the missus. We recognised the Dmart, you shopped in one day. We stayed at the DaViKa hotel round the corner., Then travelled to your homeland Australia, now in Malaysia next week heading for Cambodia, just a couple of geriatric back packers . Hopefully with her strong personality, the help you’ve given her so far, and whatever you are able to do from now on, she has a bright future whether back with you or at her home. I hear stories like this from my wife of her growing up in Laos. (One of which was her aunt really wanted to keep her there with her. Lucky for me that didn’t happen or maybe we never would’ve met!) Things happen for a reason and let’s all root for a great future for Mina no matter what. Kind of bummed about the restaurant as we would’ve tried to come this year when we are there, but being retired now I totally get the sentiment behind it!

I am so deeply heartbroken for and with you, Neenee, Mina and her mother too who tried to do a great thing for her daughter. This is so hard to take for me and I'm sure most of your regular viewers even though many of us are thousands of miles away and have never met you personally. I am grateful that you posted the prior video that foreshadowed that things were apparently not going to work out for the best, so the shock of this unhappy ending comes at least slightly muted. Still, like so many others here, my tear ducts were emptied and the three of you have taken up residence in my heart. The reactions stated here are a profound tribute to your decency and humanitarianism. You are a preserver of hope, optimism, great spirit and fellowship, and the ability of people to love and support each other, and I do truly feel much love for you and Neenee and of course Mina, whether she's back by your side or back with her birth mother. You have planted seeds in Mina that will help her to flourish and reach her potential, and she will always regard you and Neenee as beloved family, and live that out at least when she reaches the age where she can legally liberate herself from her parents - I'm guessing that is a comparatively young age in Laos, so she may be back on your doorstep of her own volition sooner than you think.

So sorry try not to think of your loss but the joy she brought you.
