If I was still following the set schedule for this series, 11I8 would've been out half a year ago. My building pace may have gotten slower, but hopefully this and future projects like these make up for that. I wasn't quite sure for a long time on what this episode's theme was going to be, and I eventually decided to go a simpler route considering there weren't many interesting suggestions left, so hopefully I'll get some good ones this time around. My next video should be really interesting if I can pull it off, but it's another individual project so it likely won't be out for a while

Thanks man! I was happy to see yours and the other channels featured as well. I’m friends with a lot of smaller channels so it always brightens my day to see them get some recognition. It’s honestly ironic how I make so much engineering related content yet engineering isn’t a field I want to study or pursue after high school :P

0:18 very nice looking timing and spinning track trick 0:30 I love these tricks that have to do with swinging things- this was executed very well 0:36 Amazing 5 tilts with one board! 0:42 This one was very cool. Triple use pipe and each time the ball was launched into it, and to top it off it was the same ball the whole time!?!?! Great trick! 0:48 Nice backspin and reuse of the ball 0:53 This was one of my favorites, the motion just looked so clean and smooth, and it was a very good trick, I'm still not completely sure how it worked though XD 1:06 Again another great spinning track and reuse of the ball 1:14 A very unexpected unfolding of the box. Well executed! You are DEFINETLY the best machine builder, and your work shows for it, so keep up the good work. I always look forward to your videos!

I watch a lot of DoodleChaos as well, and honestly, I'm really surprised I haven't heard about you earlier. The amount of work it takes to build Rube Goldberg Machines is insane, and yours are quite creative on top of that. Keep up the good work, and heres to a bright future for this channel.

Dude perfect is to sports as you are to chain reaction machines. You do what we think is impossible. It's insane. Clip-by-clip analysis: 0:16- UGH HOW. I love the release mechanism of the off-screen heavy weight. So smart! This trick just looks freakin good 0:23- I'm pretty sure I saw this in a pitagora suichi machine at some point. Still, it's great to see this trick executed beautifully 0:28- hahaaaa this ones awesome. Reminds me a lot of the swinging chamber trick in the Antarctica machine. Nice multi use element too. 0:35- jeez how many tries did that transition take. This one also reminds me of the swinging chamber. Actually, it's very similar. Seeing the concept behind the swinging chamber twisted and applied in a different way is really cool. 0:42- Okay this is easily my favorite trick from this video. First, the tube tilts and a ball shoots into it. Pretty freaking cool. AND THEN GUESS WHAT. IT HAPPENS A SECOND TIME. The execution of this trick is BWAAAAH it's so fast paced and so fluid that it just makes for a really awesome trick. 0:47- Pretty disorienting. Really nice though. WAIT WHAT THE HECK. You didn't tilt the table. I thought you tilted the table. HOW DID YOU DO THAT. I would have NEVER thought of using that concept. HOLY CRAP 0:52- Sicc timing tricc. I've noticed this motion before but would have never used it. It's cool to see it in action. 0:59- Really REALLY cool. Nice use of those blocks. 1:06- Boy do you love spinning tracks. The reuse of the ping pong ball was 👌 1:14- Frick yes love this. I'm planning on doing something similar in the future. All I can say is that you are easily the best builder like ever. SO GOOD. Well done my boy, well done.

The King of Chain Reactions Strikes Again! This is exactly what I was hoping for in this video. I was so excited to see this for months and it was worth the wait! The tricks hit the perfect point between being extremely impressive for the community and extremely impressive for the casual viewer, which is something that I think a lot builders struggle with (or maybe it's just me. Idk, lol). There were so many mind-blowing motions, so many beautiful, captivating actions in this machine. Let me give you a blow by blow of my ideas on your tricks. -Spinning Track-I really like this one. I love how you took advantage of how the ball doesn't fall out of the cup when it spins. I remember when I was about six, someone showed me that at a party with a bucket of water and spun it around and the water didn't fall out of the bucket. It was really cool, and I love how implemented it into a machine and I'm surprised I've never seen anyone do it before. And the motion is so smooth and perfect. This clip is definitely one of my favorites. -Eight Ball in the Box-I'm surprised you pulled this off. It's an idea that a lot of people have had at one point where a ball in a box keeps falling forever but you finally decided to make it work. Great job on this one! -Swinging Rods-NICE! It's your Swinging Chambers idea that people go crazy about (my Dad saw your swinging Chamber in action for the first time in SIU2 a few days ago for the first time and loved it) in reverse. And I have no idea how you got those rods to slide down so perfectly is beyond me, because my Knex doesn't slide down the rods even when they're perfectly upright. The fact that you used two for this trick makes the trick look even cooler, and if that wasn't enough, you flipped the entire structure back to have the rods fall back down! Such a great idea, although I do wish that it was a tad easier to see the rods after the flipped, but it's not a huge issue. Also, shoutouts to using a wrench as a weight XD -Board Tilting Multiple Times-Genius. Such a clever idea that reflects the idea of Tilting tricks so well. This would be great for SIU. -Multi-Use Pipe-One of my favorites. So amazingly amazing. It was impressive enough when you flipped the pipe back and shot the ball through it once and then did it again! It's so satisfying for me personally to watch a pool ball be shot into something so the fact that you shot the same ball into the same thing twice is amazing. -Back Spin Ball-Dude, this would have been perfect for a troll machine video. I was so shocked when the ball was on its way through the Knex rods when it suddenly started rolling backwards! This is one of the many things that I love about your machines, how you take random aspects of physics and implement them into your machines. I have to know how you got the ball to spin. This is another one of my favorites. -Swaying Tracks-This is what I'm talking about! It looks so cool! The tracks fall backward like dominoes and are then flipped to the side and swung into place for a ball?!! Not only a great idea but it looks very clean and vibrant as well. This is definitely my favorite trick in the entire video. -Pieces Fall Into Place (trick from thumbnail)-I love the satisfying motion of all of the pieces being taken and flipped into place for the ball. And I also love how rather than doing the basic "use the pieces as tracks" in their first position, you use the Ball Chain technique instead. Great job on this one. -Wildly Spinning Track 2-You need to teach me or do a tutorial on how to do these spinning track tricks. They are so impressive and amazing. I love them. As the first clip was, this one was equally was impressive. It was like the trick from your 11BC2 clip but vertical. Also, I liked the strategy where the launcher hit a swinging object in front of the ball. You are getting some amazing use out of those launchers. -Wooden Unfolding Cube-The ball bouncing off of the cube is impressive enough but the unfolding cube is so satisfying and it's another one of things that just surprises me that no one has thought of that before. -The Sign Revealer was clever and is just as complex and visually impressive as the rest of the tricks in this video are. I'll have to take a closer look at the mechanism as time goes on. Overall, once again, you have topped yourself by developing amazing ideas and putting them into action in the cleanest, most satisfying setups possible. This video is an inspiration for me and the machine community. I can't wait to see more and I also hope that you'll do a fail compilation or a BTS, because I want to get a better look at these amazing tricks. I am already excited for 11I9!

AAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!! Clip by clip analysis here 0:18 This is so mesmerizing. I love how the track spins multiple times before stopping. 0:24 woah, again so satisfying as the plastic box tilts. Pretty good trick 0:29 Wtf, had to watch this clip multiple times before I understood it. Those swinging things are so genius aaaargh 0:36 I love it when a single trick stretches out to multiple seconds so I loved this 0:41 I really need to get those launcher things. Love the turning pipe also 0:48 NO WAY DID YOU GET THE PING PONG BALL TO HAVE A BACKSPIN!!! 0:53 What! I didn't expect those tracks to flip so many times 0:59 Holy cow this was so cool. I love how those track things flip out soooo much 1:06 I love how the track spins as it moves 1:14 BEST TRICK IN THE VID imo. I DID NOT expect that box to unfold. great motion Great video and PLEASE make more. I think the next theme should be all foreign object tricks

ya know if you keep this up, I don't think there'll be any competition for Best Machine Builder of the Year for a while. Once again you managed to captivate everything that is good about chain reactions. I'm not even sure which one is my favorite because they're all on a pretty equal level of amazing. I have to say that the most impressive thing you did was making the ping pong ball have a back spin. Didn't think anyone could physically do that in a machine. The amount of times that balls were launching around and tracks spinning made the video that much more entertaining as well. Can't wait for next time! These videos are what make my day.

StickTrickDominoDude Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to get a backspin on a ping pong ball to work for a long time, but I could never figure out how to do it. Just a couple days ago, Alex’s rubber band video inspired me to try to use rubber bands to find a solution, and what do you know, after several design alterations, I got it to work!

I'm at Alex B's house right now, and his commentary is: "Joel's machines no longer look like machines. They look like mechanized...things... that are somehow really really really awesome." I'm gonna try to be a bit more eloquent than that. So here goes. Obviously, it goes without saying that this is amazing. But it's also REALLY amazing. What you do is create creative new and unpredictable motions for objects and it literally blows me away EVERY time. As usual, I'm gonna do a clip-by-clip. 0:18 - the timing, the smooth release of the weights and that sick flick of the lever, and the satisfying catch that leaves it in the perfect position at the end make this clip one of my favorite spinny bois of all time (definitely gonna be on watchmojo's top 10 spinny bois) 0:24 THIS IS SUCH A COOL IDEA! I love everything you do with your flippy boxes. I REALLY love the fact that you were able to smoothly and subtly release that weighted lever that gave the box the extra oomph to flip over that second time. The way the box triggers the lever so that it's already flush with it when it starts pushing it so the force is smoothly applied is a small detail but also integral and I love it. 0:28 ok so this was already a really neat concept (I love the idea of swinging rods navigating a zigzag like that) but then you FLIPPED IT AHHHHH. Also a neat touch to make both swinging rods essential (and the symmetry of the two of them descending together was neat, too. If I was somehow creative enough to come up with that, I doubt I'd have had the bright idea to build two in parallel). I also noticed and really liked how when they descended to the bottom initially, they got stuck up against knex barriers to stop the swing so when it freaking FLIPPED UP they could slide right to the bottom. Again, subtle, but very important. 0:36 Another satisfying trick with multiple modules in series. I LOVE the way you had multiple barrier releases for each ball and it was built and timed and angled perfectly for each ball to move through one layer at a time (and get stopped by each successive barrier). The releases all moving in sync is insanely satisfying, amazingly well choreographed, and clearly reminiscent of the kind of trick that has been extensively and carefully planned in advance (unlike my "build as you go" style). I love this kind of trick because there is so much nuance there behind the movement, and everything is moving! 0:42 you built pong shots with billiard balls wtf (also tilting toob pipe thing! Throwback to ISM 2016) Honestly this one got points simply for wow factor. Triple use of the pipe, same ball all three times, sick pong shots! This clip is a nice change of pace and, as usual, I love it. 0:48 Sick use of the rubber band (barely noticed it the first time, but looking back now it's really neat). Little tilty track boi is nice too. Also wtf lmao how 0:52 I rate 2.3/10 too many tracks -- What's really genius about this one is how you use the subtle tilt of the entire system to swing the tracks around when they flip towards the viewer. It's hard to catch why they swing (and it looks a bit like magic tbh) but it's also hella satisfying (I know I keep saying things are satisfying but that's because THEY ARE). The timing is also ON POINT. Also loved how the flippy boi flipped the ball back up 0:59 Okay so I really loved the neat way the taut white string was routed around other objects. What takes the cake here, though, is definitely the satisfying slide of the triggers down the sides and the resulting tilt and unfurling motion. It's literally choreographed. Your machines are actually ballets. And the way the unfurling blocks fell into place around the existing spots like puzzle pieces! LOVE IT. 1:06 It flip. It spin. It shoot. It fall. What else could one ask from a clip? Liked the little guard flap for the launcher :D 1:14 I wasn't sure what would happen. That's part of what I love about this clip (I really should have known what would happen but it still surprised me). The motion is satisfying af and the concept is original and perfectly done. The reuse of the same white ball and the tilting track were nice touches as well. You not only build an amazing idea, you go to great lengths to assure the connections are as interesting and subtly genius as possible too, and that's definitely a major part of what makes you such an amazing builder. As always, nicely done. You're killing it, man. You're actually desensitizing me to genius (except I'm still blown away by every new video somehow because you STEP IT UP EVERY TIME). ok but fr how tho

0:18 Such a cool timing idea!! The way it spins so the ball doesn't fall out of the cup is very satisfying 0:36 It's a very simple concept but was executed so nicely. Stunning! 0:43 My favourite clip in this video, the same ball goes in and out of the tube three times and the use of the launchers is so awesome 0:48 I have wanted to see a trick like this for the longest time! Always thought it was cool the way you could put a backspin on a ping pong ball and it would go forward and then back, but I would've had no idea how to make it work in a machine. But using a rubber band for that is ingenious! Well done!! 0:54 That's just beautiful.. 1:08 Woah, the way the whole structure turns over and spins the track in the place is amazing to watch. I don't even know how you come up with these effects 1:15 This effect is super rad, an object going from 3-dimensional to 2-dimensional :0

I've already said more about this video than I could ever say in this RU-vid comment, but I'll try my best to sum up my feelings about this masterpiece. First of all, you blew me away yet again. I've stopped believing that there's no way for you to top yourself, because you always find a way to do it. I admire everything about your style so much, and I know I'm not the only one. The comments on this video prove that the community is a better place with your work in it. You manage to think of things that nobody else could even dream of, and you manage to take those ideas and make them a reality. Although it's incredibly hard to pinpoint specific characteristics (and you know how hard I've tried), you possess a talent for chain reactions unmatched by anyone. Your ideas, your building style, and your machines as a whole are the gold standard of chain reaction art, and I'm just glad I get to watch it.

Wow this video is amazing and you are a genius. I come from Austin, like everyone, and I was really looking forward into your channel and you did not disappoint. But if I have to give my opinion, kind of like a constructive criticism here, I don't think the choice of the music is good. These videos don't need no music to maintain your viewers entertainded, and if you feel like putting music in your videos, that's okay, but I think there are better choices for music. But well, this is just my opinion. You could just take it or leave it. I won't have a problem with that. I think the most important is that you keep making this type of quality content you are doing.

My only recommendation is to lower the sound of muzzak a little bit. The thing i love most about this channels is the sound made by the contraption.

TheInvention11 Absolutely fantastic builds! Ingenuity and good dexterity. What about using Earth(dirt), wind(air), fire, and/or water in the next 11 tricks video? Consider using any combination of the materials or all of the materials in the same video.

Maybe try a build where you can't use objects falling of the table for energy? All the movement in the machine will have to be from elastic bands / springs.
